This includes 2 docs at Avera Health, all offering monthly outreach clinics and innovative telemedicine services. Thanks to Avera Health and other local hospitals' commitment, SD ranks 14th nationally in pediatric pulmonologists per capita. Beyond peds pulmonology, through Avera Health, SD communities also have access to numerous pediatric-boarded subspecialists including cardiology, neurology, infectious disease, endocrinology, nephrology, gastroenterology, psychiatry, and orthopedics, among others.
