Last week, during Construction Safety Week, our teams conducted stand-downs at various job sites nationwide, including in New York, Connecticut, and California. At Schimenti, we prioritize safety at every stage of our projects. Regular stand-downs are crucial for reinforcing protocols and fostering a culture of safety. We are dedicated to continuous engagement with our workers, proactive risk identification and mitigation, and strict adherence to proper PPE usage. A special thank you to Milwaukee Tool and Werner Ladder for providing valuable insights during their presentations throughout the week. We also thank our sponsors, Jere’s Hardware, Foundation Building Materials, ClickSafety, Sunbelt Rentals, Inc., and Pro Safety, for their support. Take a look at some of the photos from the events last week. #BuildDifferent #ConstructionSafetyWeek

Are you going the right way ? How do you know? How do we know where to go on roads, on mine sites, in bunnings? is it clear signage ? Yes is it clear safety line markings? Yes is it clear non-verbal communication? Yes Safety is also visible -> Safety line marking, and clear signs are the right direction <- -Looks appealing and presentable -It directs foot and Vehicle traffic -It stands out -It can keep you safe By adding additional markings can make a big, beautiful difference to all aspects. Not a throw away society, we are: work with', start where you are' and Improve with what you already have. Another good habit to develop is to personally conduct a safety walkabout in your environments. This demonstrates commitment and initiative, and you will become personally aware of the real safety conditions in your area. These walkabouts if you include them in your workspace will also provide an opportunity for you to meet managers, and your team mates in their work areas and to have discussions regarding safety. Make sure your going the right way ! #safetyatwork #healthyhabits #linemarking #leanthinking Cotewell

June is National Safety Month! Leddy Group is committed to safety in the workplace. Here are some helpful tips on how to avoid or prevent slips, trips, and falls from the CDC: • If you see something you might slip or trip on, tell your supervisor/ manager right away or remove the hazard if safe to do so. • Clear walkways, stairs, and lobbies of anything that might be a tripping hazard, such as cords, wires, empty boxes, and clutter. • Make sure that floor mats lay flat rather than wrinkled or bunched. • Use handrails when you walk up and down steps. • Before using any stepladder, make sure it opens fully and there is no slippery material on it. #nationalsafetymonth #worksafe #safeworkenvironment
