I'm officially changing my role at Blends from Operations Director to Managing Director. After many years in the senior leadership team at Blends alongside my family and our incredible team, it was time for a change. As many know my mum and dad officially retired at the end of 2022 and since that time i've been in the Managing Director role in all but name. Hopefully the transition has been smooth and painless and the company can continue to thrive and prosper. Thanks to colleagues for the support over the past 12 months as my role has altered and I've implemented a new management structure. Over the coming weeks there will be more information on exactly what has been happening behind the scenes and the exciting changes we've made. In addition to this I'd also like to announce Andrew Richardson as the company's new Operations Director and shareholder. Andy has worked in the business for several years and has been instrumental in the growth and success recently and i'd like to take the opportunity to welcome him into the role, wishing him well for the future. Cheers to our growth, our team and many more successes and years of Blends! #blends #UK #manufacturing #innovation #technology #commodity #suppliers #ingredients #foodanddrink #business #businessgrowth #innovative #growth #progress #anniversary #partners #expansion #beverage #drinks #production #canning #bottling #managingdirector #operational #director #career #promotion

I thought it would be good to reintroduce myself, since many of you have known me at different points in my life and career: You may know me from when I was: 📍 Working at and (eventually) owning Monterrey Provision—a fresh perimeter national food distributor 📍 Working at KeHE Distributors, running the fresh side of the business 📍 Serving as President of Jimbo's Naturally—the "OG" of organic grocery stores 📍 A professor of Supply Chain at the University of San Diego 📍 Founder and CEO of my current company (and hopefully the one I run for the rest of my life), Vdriven—supporting the success of brands in the CPG retail grocery space Over the last 5 years my team and I have built Vdriven into now a team of over 45 amazing souls. We've also gone from working with just a couple of brands in 2018, to now partnering with over 60. I'm beyond grateful for the trust that my team and clients have placed in Vdriven. I spend most of my days leading and growing my team in my CEO capacity. I also own the Sprouts Farmers Market relationship for my company and get to Phoenix for corporate visits once or twice per month. I've been calling on Sprouts since store number 5 and have loved my experience watching this amazing company grow to 400 stores. I travel the country meeting with leaders from key retailers. Yesterday I had a lunch with a leader from Gelsons, and last week I was at The Fresh Market and Earth Fare. I also spend top-to-top time with key distributors from around the country. I love to travel and I am so grateful for these relationships! The most rewarding work I do is the time that I get with with our clients. Some clients hire me to coach them in running sustainable and successful businesses--and more and more I'm also helping with life coaching as well. Scaling Monterrey Provision 10x into a national distributor and subsequent career experiences have taught me so much. I also have lived an extremely intense personal life has driven so much personal growth and insights. I love to share what I've learned with my clients—and to help them grow. I am becoming slightly famous for my 3-hour Strategic Deep Dives. 😁 I do 2 or 3 of these every week with brands. During the time together, we start with purpose and mission and then dig into a SWOT analysis and goal setting (in the form of OKR's). The 3 hours of going deep are always rewarding! When I first started Vdriven I was also investing in many of our clients. I have visibility to at least a couple in the coming years. I'm fully invested, and my goal is to reinvest funds. I am so hopeful that the current depression in investment in CPG passes soon. 🤞 As I type this note I'm on a plane from San Diego to meet Brandon Mahin in Minneapolis for meetings with INFRA--and then flying home tonight. In our industry we always keep moving! I love it! Feel free to reach out to me anytime: luke.abbott@vdriven.com Also, feel free to share a short story of how we met.

As I wrap up my first month at US Foods, I'm reminded of the quote by Bill Nye: “Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't.” In just a few weeks, I’ve connected with many knowledgeble colleagues and learned something new in every conversation. Every conversation has reinforced the importance of collaboration and the value of diverse perspectives in driving innovation and success. I look forward to more months of learning and collaborating together. #newbeginnings #lifelonglearning #personalgrowth

While growing Jade Street Consulting Inc., listening to client feedback, has been one of the most important things to me. Last night, I sent out an email to all of my clients saying the following: "I am reaching out to ask you to provide any negative and positive feedback for our team. Is there anything that we can do better to help your experience with JSC? As a growing company, I appreciate this. Please provide the good, the bad, and the ugly. " The responses I got? 👇 ( NONE of this was changed and I could cry) "All feedback is positive. The team has been very good, responsive, attentive and I am happy to be working with you all." "Working with you, Breanna, Jess, and the wider team has been fantastic." "I am a big fan of feedback, both ways! Let me prepare some notes and can send you some thoughts later. Initial impressions are overall everything is positive!" "Thanks Melissa, so far very happy with the work that you and the team have done! VERY excited about where we might be going together!" "I'm very happy that we are partnering. Your team has been setting up a lot of meetings and very helpful when completing the summaries. They are very communicative and flexible to meet when discussions about accounts are needed." "I can honestly say that I have nothing negative to say. I’m always pleased with the following: Prompt responses Open line of communication Attention to detail Well organized account management Thanks for all you do!" one of the BIGGEST accomplishments I have ever had is the TEAM & CULTURE here at Jade Street Consulting Inc. When I woke up this morning and read these emails, it literally brought tears to my eyes. #feedback #ceo #founder #sales #cpg #cpgindustry #mission #food #beverage #supplements #nutrition #relationships #partnership #womanownedbusiness #brokers #cpgbrokers #culture #team

🚀💼 As your Sales Marketing Manager, I believe in transparency and continuous improvement. I want to address a recent mistake I made and share it with all of you. We all encounter challenges, and it's an essential part of our journey toward success. In a recent initiative, I overlooked a crucial detail, and I take full responsibility for the oversight. It's a reminder that even in leadership roles, learning is a constant process. I appreciate the understanding and collaboration of this incredible team, and I'm committed to rectifying the situation promptly. Mistakes are not setbacks but opportunities for growth. Together, let's turn this moment into a valuable lesson that propels us forward.Your support means the world to me. 🚀💼
