Aerospace & Defense | Program Manager | P&L Management | Business Operations | Cross-Functional Team Leader | I help governments, companies, and private individuals achieve their objectives in space.
I know commercial space screams “tourism” for many people 🙄 I dislike the term “space tourism” - it leads people to believe that commercial space companies are just flying people to orbit for a look around. Each one of Axiom’s astronauts have conducted research, such as mentioned in this article, be they a private individual or a government funded astronaut. Space has so many possibilities for cures and life-improving treatments! Commercial space companies will be part of developing these moving forward. Full stop. I am looking forward to the day where LEO research cures cancer! #spaceflight #commercialspace #spaceconomy #cancer
In the micro gravity environment of low earth orbit, there are more experiments and research opportunities in the fields of medical science and developing biomedical technologies that can benefit us on the ground. Our Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tom Marshburn shares how this medical research in space can make a difference here on Earth. Article: https://lnkd.in/e4wwRg9C
