In 2022, a NSW public sector review identified actions to increase the proportion of people with disability employed in the public sector. Agencies have made significant progress in this whole-of-government work program. This includes using one consistent definition of disability, creating workplace adjustment passports and hosting quarterly inclusion forums. it's 2023, and we're not talking about disability employment enough... or inclusive automation. Given this is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), one small part I aim to tackle is informing people about how we can build disability employment programmes in their own companies. So Industry innovators this week is with Meg O'Connell, PHR. Meg is a rockstar, and knows this space in-and-out. Tomorrow I will be sharing our podcast, where we discuss: - How can we roll out disability employment programmes to every US DC. - What do employers need to know about setting up disability programmes. - Case studies on how Meg has successfully helped companies champion Disability Employment.
