People often ask me why I left the Heavy Equipment world after ~30 years of passionately growing from a young US Army Diesel Mechanic to becoming President of one of the top 10 CAT Dealers in the world... Well, it's because in the twilight of my career, after often times using one of my favorite tools (technology) to make my Employees' lives better, making it easier for my Customers to do business with us, increasing Sales, decreasing Costs, maximizing ROI, ROA, ROE; a big idea I had to disrupt the traditional way of supporting heavy equipment disrupted me & my career... Check out the idea attached, Technicians on Demand, that ended my career for being a Disruptor of an industry. Ideas like that are so strong & vivid that they won't let you sleep. No use in trying to ignore them, write them down, share them, they've come to you for a reason. Embrace the gift of a great idea.
