I have absolutely zero experience as a recruiter. I have even less experience as someone in the Human Resources department. But even without this experience, I am absolutely positive that your new hire's engagement starts with the platform they use to apply and the first interaction they have with the hiring team. Does your platform require multiple sign-ons and require a candidate to put in their work history line by line? Terrible. Is it a generic screening call? Not exciting. Are you learning more about the company by talking to this person or can you just reread the job description? These are typically the first steps for any new hire and they don't stand out. If you want a candidate that excels with your team, excel with attracting them to your company. #companyculture #hiring
