Many marketers believe in only segmenting out their messaging; focusing on sales or on strengthening brand, but never one and the same. I use authentic #storytelling as a way to deeply connect with customers, while building #brand, and increasing #sales. Both can be accomplished symphonically. Yesterday I sent an email #newsletter for my brand REBEL8. I used a personal story of going to baseball games as a child with my mom, and how those experiences translated into new relevant products that can be purchased today. There is a mix of #marketing messages infused within the newsletter, but when clearly presented to the customer in one digestible story there is a dramatic shift in customer perception. They no longer feel they are being marketed to. And that is when the magic happens. You can read the newsletter at the link.

I often times will be watching something, like today's NO vs TB football game, and will have a commercial make me smile or make me secretly congratulate the marketing team at the firm that generated a concept and executed it brilliantly. We all have our favorite commercials, but I've been appreciating commercials (for whatever reason) since I was a child. Seriously, my life changed when I told someone that I wanted to "make commercials for a living." I could continue that story, but I digress... I saw this commercial during the game.
