One of the highlights of my year was my trip to Bali, with my friends. While there I noticed that Gojek was EVERYWHERE 🤔 I’ve heard of this company but I did not realize just how big a deal this ‘super app’ is in South East Asia. They are a Dunzo, an Urbanclap, a Rapido - and it's all by one company. We couldn’t have imagined this decision working in the Indian market, where no one (even Reliance) has been this successful at a ‘super-app’ 😨 Obviously, this company has some really competent employees and leadership. I was even more surprised to learn that Gojek is ranked as one of Indonesia’s top workplaces. There is a crazy competition to get a job here. To understand what they are doing right, I’ve been poking around their people strategy. Here’s what I found: 1. They hold their leaders accountable for connecting with each employee in order to encourage two-way communication✅ 2. They plan for a lifecycle engagement roadmap for employee well-being with tons of L&D initiatives and competitive compensation frameworks✅ 3. After more than 4+ enriching years at Tokopedia, Indonesia's leading e-commerce company, I find myself at a reflective juncture, ready to embrace the next phase of my professional journey. During my tenure at Tokopedia, I had the unique privilege of experiencing 8 different modules within the Seller Experience team. This journey wasn't just about the roles I filled but about the trust and opportunities bestowed upon me by my leaders. It allowed me to immerse myself fully in the end-to-end journey of our sellers, understanding their needs, challenges, and triumphs. Each role was a building block, adding to a foundation of knowledge and experience that I carry forward with me. My decision to step into the unknown and leave Tokopedia was not made lightly. It was born out of a deep sense of gratitude for everything I've learned and a desire to challenge myself further, to prove what I'm capable of in new settings. The tech industry is vast and filled with opportunities to grow, learn, and make an impact, and I am eager to explore what lies beyond. To my dearest "Golden Shackles" — my colleagues, mentors, and friends at Tokopedia — you have all shaped me in ways words cannot fully capture. My journey with you has been one of mutual growth, challenges overcome, and countless memories that will forever be a part of who I am. Hello everyone! I am Yohana Muriana Sidabutar, a proud member of the Bangkit Academy led by Google, Tokopedia, Gojek, & Traveloka program. During my month-long participation in Bangkit, I have learned a great deal, including five important adaptation strategies encompassing ways of interacting, achieving, learning, working, and thinking. Today, I am excited to share my experiences on the 5 Ways of Adaptability. Let's dive in! 🚀 #lifeAtBangkit #Bangkit2024 1. Interacting I gained important knowledge on how to communicate with others. This involved understanding how to initiate conversations and engage in topics effectively, especially in online. I made an effort to be open-minded and seek out friendships. Participants in the program came from different backgrounds and communication styles. I realized the significance of empathy and attentive listening. 2. Achieving Getting my projects done on time was one of my biggest challenges. I acquired some crucial knowledge to increase my adaptability. I made clear goals that matched the program's expectations, helping me stay focused. Because there are many solutions for every situation, I also learnt to be adaptable. And then I made sure to learn from my experiences, using every situation as an opportunity to improve my adaptability. 3. Learning To enhance my learning abilities, I value collaboration and peer support. Instead of depending just on myself, I actively look to knowledgeable friends for advice and support on particular topics. This collaborative approach allows me to delve deeper into topics and progress further in my learning journey. Also, I give back by sharing what I know and how I teach with others. Through this mutual exchange, we collectively contribute to each other's growth and development in learning. 4. Working Adaptability plays a crucial role in managing work hours and organizing tasks for remote collaboration. Dividing the day into eight-hour segments when learning online facilitates a productive work-life balance. Similarly, for remote projects like our capstone, we adjust tasks based on each person's strengths and availability, ensuring everyone can contribute well, even from a distance. 5. Thinking I learned that analytical, creative, and critical thinking are crucial for effective problem-solving. So, I adopted a growth mindset, understanding that skills improve with dedication. Because I was able to think creatively, I was able to approach problems in new ways and develop unique answers.

🚀 Hello My Name is Dody Naufal 🚀 I joined the Bangkit Academy led by Google, Tokopedia, Gojek, & Traveloka program with great enthusiasm, although initially, I felt insecure because I came from a private university. This program is known for its high competition and participants from various backgrounds, including many from the top 10 universities in Indonesia. When I first joined, I felt less confident and worried that I would not be able to compete with other participants who had better experience and academic reputations. However, I decided to keep trying and give my best, seeing this as an opportunity to learn and grow. During the program, I realized that many other participants felt the same way. We shared experiences, challenges, and learning strategies with each other. This made me feel more accepted and reduced the initial sense of insecurity. The mentors at Bangkit were also very supportive and provided valuable feedback, which further motivated me to keep striving. I began to see that skills and hard work are not always dependent on the university of origin, but rather on individual dedication and effort. Interacting with friends from the top 10 universities also broadened my horizons and gave me new inspiration. In the end, the Bangkit Academy led by Google, Tokopedia, Gojek, & Traveloka program not only provided technical knowledge and valuable skills but also taught me to have more confidence in myself. I learned that the university of origin is not the main determinant of success. What matters most is the willingness to learn, the desire to keep trying, and the ability to collaborate with others. Adaptability and Resilience Bangkit program, a collaboration program between Google, Tokopedia, Gojek, and Traveloka has given me experience in the field of mobile development. Through this program, I not only improved my technical skills but also developed my adaptability. Adapt to How to Interact In the Bangkit program has introduced me to a diverse community of individuals from various backgrounds and skill levels. This exposure has cultivated my ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with people from all walks of life. Adapt to the Way of Achievement The program's emphasis on project-based learning has challenged me to adapt to different project requirements and deadlines. I have learned to manage my time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure. This experience honed my ability to deliver high-quality results within a specified time frame. Adapt to the Way of Learning Through this Bankit program, I was taught to improve my way of learning through material with a timeline that must be met and soft skills material that taught me how to apply a growth mindset, time management, critical thinking & problem-solving, adaptability, and resilience. Adapt to Ways of Working The program's emphasis on teamwork has taught me to adapt to different work styles and personalities. I have learned to collaborate with team members, sharing responsibilities. This experience has prepared me for the collaborative nature of the technology industry. Adapt to Ways of Thinking The Bangkit program has encouraged me to adopt a growth mindset, accepting challenges as opportunities to learn and grow.
