João Crisóstomo has been digging deep into the world of QA to learn more about how teams test, grow, and evolve in 2023. We love his summary of this article by Mohammad Faisal Khatri about what to ask when starting in a new QA team. What would you add?
I was inspired by an article by Mohammad Faisal Khatri on the main questions to ask as a new QA in the Team/Organization. Full credit to him, I just bundled it. Mohammad reminds us that the questions don't stop here, but they are a very good tool to get anyone who uses them on the path to understanding and improvement. What other questions would you add?

Something I have seen vary at every company I work at are standards for acceptance criteria/requirements on tickets. Holding test planning sessions where we have time dedicated as a team has been what has brought the clarity needed for me, and been massively effective in helping have better flushed out tickets for the entire team. How have you tackled this in your own QA journey? #qaengineer #qa #qatester #acceptancecriteria #requirements #testplanning #testplan #qaautomation #teamcollaboration

As testers, we know that our job is crucial to ensuring the quality and reliability of software products. But have you ever wondered why asking questions is an essential part of our job? Questioning helps us understand the requirements better, uncover potential issues, and clarify ambiguities early in the development process. By asking the right questions, we can identify edge cases, validate assumptions, and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Moreover, questioning fosters collaboration within the team, encourages critical thinking, and ultimately leads to a more robust and reliable product. Let's keep asking the right questions! 💪 #SoftwareTesting #QualityAssurance #TesterLife #CriticalThinking #Collaboration #Questioning #QA #SoftwareDevelopment #AgileTesting

Product Engineering Leader | Empowering Teams & Companies to Innovate and Build Exceptional Products
I have just finished my weekly QA work session. This meeting involves the #qa engineers from my cross-functional team, and we delve deep into process and tech improvements to enhance the quality of our product. 💡I highly recommend this meeting to all tech leads because: → It promotes a shift-left mindset for quality within the team. → Upcoming product increments are discussed with a focus on quality. → Scripting and automation are planned at an early stage. → This helps bridge the notorious gap between QA and engineering.
