My Truth: looking back to when my kids were little, there are some things I wish I had done differently. -Less rushing, more listening. -Less ‘one more email’, more cuddles. -Less focus on what I should do, more focus on the solution that is best for my family. -Less putting myself last to the point of exhaustion, more ‘mom is taking a nap’. I could go on, but I don’t want to dwell on everything I did wrong (because I did a lot of things right). I don’t regret the choices, but I can now see (with 19 years of parenting experience) that my day to day priorities didn’t always match my family values. And the Dare: We get to choose how we want to show up everyday…at work and at home. One way to get clearer on how we want to live is to know our values. If you would like my Values Clarification exercise, send me an email at carla@3becoaching.com and I will send it your way.

Welcoming a new bundle of joy into your life is a beautiful experience, but it can also bring new challenges, especially in maintaining the connection with your partner. Here are some tips to help you stay connected post-baby- 1. 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Make time to talk openly and honestly with your partner about your feelings, needs, and concerns. Set aside dedicated time each day to connect without distractions. 2. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: Parenting can be overwhelming, but sharing responsibilities can help lighten the load. Divide tasks such as feeding, diaper changing, and soothing the baby to create a more balanced routine. 3. 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: Even with a newborn, it's important to make time for each other. Schedule regular date nights, even if they're just at home, to reconnect and enjoy each other's company. 4. 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Physical touch is crucial for maintaining intimacy. Even small gestures like hugs, kisses, and holding hands can help strengthen your bond. 5. 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭: Don't hesitate to seek support from friends, family, or professionals if you're feeling overwhelmed. Joining a new parent support group can also provide a sense of community and understanding. You know that feeling when you feel like there just aren’t enough hours in the day? The to-do list is a mile long and everyone needs something from you? Making you want to lock yourself in a closet and cry? Yea, I used to get really overwhelmed too. Especially when I decided to start my business while still nannying. Watching an active toddler while the other one was in school then juggling school picks ups, snacks, play dates, grocery shopping, cleaning and ya know, making sure I kept the two little humans alive ON TOP of starting and running business, working on it little by little while they were napping. I was completely overwhelmed and hate to admit that maybe my mother was right, I bit off more than I could chew. So after nannying from 7am to 6pm I’d go home crazy tired and after I was done crying in my closet. I’d spend a few hours working on my business and finishing up what I couldn’t get done during my small window during the day. I now realize when I’m overwhelmed, I have my oh sh*t moment then I wipe my tears, pull up my big girl panties and handle it! I now realize, this is my process and this moment of feeling overwhelmed will pass! I think in the middle of chaos or what feels like too much, we discover who we really are. I now know what my process is and I also know I can handle it and can and will accomplish what I need to get done! #virtualassistantservices #virtualassistantforhire #smallbiztips #vatips #dream #goals #dreambig #success #help #virtualassistant #motherhood #mama #mompreneur #family #momlife #parenting #mumlife #parentsupport
