The "Vintage Tea Party" - our 3rd reps socials which I have hosted yesterday for our amazing reps was a big success . The venue was dripping with Vintage vibes, setting the perfect stage for a night filled with fun, laughter, and a touch of nostalgic vintage tunes and an atmosphere buzzing with excitement 🤗 Very big thanks to Blessing Wemere and Luke Allen for being an incredible part to make this event a great success. The atmosphere was electric as reps from various backgrounds and courses mingled, sharing stories and building connections. The success of the event was palpable in the air, and it's all thanks to the incredible reps who showed up with enthusiasm and energy. One of the highlights of the evening was our tea-themed game that added a delightful twist to the vintage experience and added an extra layer of enjoyment and friendly competition. I would like to mention my sincere gratitude for Coventry University Students' Union which gave me an incredible opportunity to improve my skills in event planning and event management . I want to express my sincere gratitude to all the reps who attended, bringing their positive vibes and making the event a huge success. Your enthusiasm is what makes these socials truly special. Innovation isn't always about inventing something entirely new. Sometimes, it's about taking a fresh look at existing challenges and applying solutions from unexpected places. Have you ever read an exhibitor's manual and thought, 'There has to be an easier way?' Yeah, me too. To me, the first step in great service is providing customers with the information they need. As everyday consumers, we're used to solving problems on our own because the information is readily accessible and convenient. Why shouldn't exhibiting be the same? The idea behind this series sort of came with an 'aha' moment as a customer from Rent The Runway. I was watching a video on the return process and was like, 'Wow, I now have all the information I need.' Then it hit me - if I can learn how to return a shipment, make a new fancy meal, learn a new skill, or assemble a complicated piece of IKEA furniture from a quick video, why can't exhibiting be that simple? That's why I'm excited about our new Exhibitor Education Video Series. It's bringing that same user-friendly approach we enjoy in our daily lives to the world of trade shows. We're not reinventing the wheel, but hopefully making it spin a little smoother. Because in today's world where we can learn anything from a quick video, understanding the complexities of exhibiting should be just as straightforward. At Shepard , we see this as a natural progression in our commitment to top-tier service. Personal support remains at our core, but we're expanding our toolkit. By introducing new digital resources alongside our hands-on expertise, we're building a more comprehensive system that gives exhibitors the flexibility to access support in ways that work best for them.
The events services company Shepard launched an Exhibitor Education Video Series, created to support exhibitors through the entire event life cycle. According to Shepard, this on-demand video library is the first of its kind. It was developed collaboratively by Shepard’s cross-functional marketing and exhibitor service teams, covers a range of topics, such as labor rules and regulations, booth budgeting and more, and includes modern customer service practices. “Our goal is to provide exhibitors with the clarity and guidance they need to be successful. This video series demonstrates Shepard’s commitment to leading that charge and setting a new standard for exhibitor support,” Taylor Gray Elliot, Vice President of Marketing & Brand Strategy at Shepard said. Have you ever been to a highly anticipated event and thought to yourself, this event SUCKS?!!! You know those types of events. The ones that boast about Being in Las Vegas Celebrity Keynote Speakers 2,375,189 attendees last year Exclusive value from sessions A state-of-the-art brand new venue Yada Yada Yada 7 Reasons Why Events Tend to Suck: Everything starts late Carbon copy of last year The jammed packed schedule Venue is too small and/or outdated Host didn’t care to create the right learning atmosphere No inclusivity and not just Black Speakers/Vendors, but care for those with disabilities The 20K people attending was competing for Wi-Fi with the 40K people at the event next door 🥴🥴🥴 In my 18 years of being an Event Planner, the main problem are clients who are more focused on ticket sales than changing lives. Those who host events (these are not event planners) must remove all barriers from their event if they want to be successful. DAS IT! Das the lesson friend. Now fix it lawd.

6 Tips for Keeping Your Tradeshow Booth in Top Condition Investing in a tradeshow booth is a significant investment, and you want your booth to last a long time. To keep a booth in top condition, you need appropriate packaging, dependable freight carriers, and sound installation and dismantle practices. And having your booth look great at all times is very important! Here are some tips to keep your booth in show-ready condition. 4. Pre-Stage Your Booth—Before any event takes place, it is an excellent idea to have your booth set up and checked. Nothing is worse than discovering a broken or missing part or simply finding a damaged or dirty graphic. It can be tough to fix when you are already on the show floor, but it is much simpler to deal with if you find an issue a few weeks in advance. Whether you do this yourself or ask your display partner to perform this service, there is no better way to find issues and correct them before the show than by doing a pre-stage.
