I look forward to Eurovision every year, and yet I am really not that into music (I know that people find that weird about me!). Although this year had a little too much male nudity for my liking, and a strange trend of performers covering up their faces, here is what I like so much about it: 🌍 Its a huge celebration of culture, different languages and peoples uniqueness, both nationally and individually. 📣 Despite strict rules around political messaging, the rebellious nature of the performers to integrate messaging into their acts (the raining bombs in the Ukraine performance or the consistent messages of 'love and peace' after performances) showcases people standing up and advocating for what is right. 💬 The live nature of the event, where huge masses of the European population and the world are engaged in a common conversation and community. 🎨 The pure experimentation and creativity of the acts and the instant feedback of the votes to validate the best ideas and performances. 🤝 The quality of the production, best practice on show and the sheer amount of collaboration that needs to take place to deliver such a refined product. 🎥 The attention to the smallest detail in production that collectively deliver a seamless experience for the viewer. 🎉 - It's not all about the winning, its about having fun and supporting each other. Imagine if the workplace was run like Eurovision. Where everyone can be free to express themselves, deliver ideas, be creative, test theories without fear of failure, listening to feedback, collaborate in the micro and the macro, enhancing and delivering our best products, all whilst having fun doing so.
