Career Advice 1. Accept new job offer carefullly Does the job match your skills and career aspiration? Are you motivated by the pay? 2. Take care of your health. It isn't your health or the job? So that you will not use the money you get from the job to take care of your health. 3. Walk away. I mean you should fire yourself the moment you see red flag. Then intensify your job search and move before the pink letter. However, if you are asked to leave, leave. It isn't the end of the world. Merry Christmas. #career #joboffer #quitting #careercoaching

Fellow job seekers, it's important to permit yourself to enjoy a long weekend. As we approach the end of the week before a holiday, it's common for recruiters to wrap things up and pay more attention to candidates farther along in the process. So, don't be too hard on yourself if you don't hear much on Friday. Take this time to be kind to yourself and recharge. Remember, you've worked hard this week. Enjoy the break! #jobsearch #selfcare #longweekend

Brenda here with a reminder for job searchers. I know it's January now and that means things are about to start moving again. This week might still be slow as people get back into the office after a few days off, they'll need to get back into their work rhythm. What I'm saying is--you still might not hear much back this week. Next Monday, however, is when the world gets moving again for real. Adjust your patience levels accordingly. #jobsearch #patience #keeponkeepingon #thelayofflady

Business Travel & Travel Tech Recruiter. Preserving the human touch in recruitment. I Travel Recruitment I Business Travel I Corporate Travel I Travel Technology I Customer Service
Urgh, what a past couple of weeks it's been work wise! 🤯 Recruitment can be brutal sometimes, lots of hard work, emotional investment and (let's be honest), hope. Sometimes things just don't fall in to place for whatever reason and largely, that's out of our control. However! We always want what's right for both our clients and our candidates. Our job is to introduce them but never to force anyone in to doing something that they don't want to do. So yes, it's disappointing when things don't work out. 😔 But we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and get back on with finding a match that works for both sides. And that's why our clients and candidates come back to us time and time again. Because they know we don't take it personally, it's not a failure on our part and we don't give up. Recruitment and retention are complex subjects stacked with emotion and life changing decisions - it's not a career choice for the faint hearted! 🤣 How's your week been? Do you manage to rise above frustration and disappointment easily? #urbanberryrecruitment #travelrecruitment #businesstravel

Being a recruiter can be hard, it is vital to keep yourself mentally ready for a life as a recruiter. I used to regularly be burnt out... I saw it as a badge of honour. I believed that excess for work delivers successful work. As a young recruiter I remember a cringeworthy image of doing cold calling with one can of Monster in one hand and another ready to go for the next power hour when it was still mid morning. However, that is unsustainable and unhealthy... 💤 You need sleep, you need to destress and you need to shut off from work when you’re away from it. 🏖️ Plus planning and scheduling holidays every quarter to avoid burnout. 👟 Gym work is great as endorphins are naturally stress relievers. Alcohol consumption to excess is not. Recruitment is a great career, but if you hate the job as it’s killing you slowly then what’s the point? You have one life, be smart. #Recruitment #MentalHealth #Recruiter

LinkedIn feature request: Let candidates find jobs posted in the "past three days". Currently it's one day, or a week. Sorting through a week is pretty laborious...but the pressure to check _every day_ isn't that healthy. So why not give candidates something in the middle, so they can take a day or two off from the hunt and still be able to pick up quickly the next day. #jobseekers #mentalhealth #wellness #wayslinkedincouldbebetter
