I’ve always been interested in being a part of Sony Pictures Animation but there are never entry level positions open. It’s so hard to get any experience when the field is full of experienced people.
My amazing daughter graduated from SCAD a year ago and she has been trying so hard to get the opportunity to start working on her field as a 2D graphic animator but it has been so difficult. A lot of the jobs require experience. But how can you obtain experience if you don't have the opportunity to start getting it? These poor kids are getting out of college with these huge loans that they have to start paying 6 months after graduation and it is very stressful and frustrating to see that the industry is not giving them enough opportunities to start.
