When we arrived Chuck Kuhn let us know that they simply wanted to thank us for the difference our work is making for the organization. Wow. Grateful for this nonstop, rewarding, incredible journey with my Francesca's team—it's more than just colleagues or a team; we it's family. Crafting a positive work environment has been a source of pride, fostering a second HOME where every team member feels SAFE, HEARD, RESPECTED, and PRAISED. Our collective dedication has created a dynamic team whose energy resonates throughout our boutique. Our guests' kind words echo their positive experiences, reinforcing our commitment. Amidst heartfelt moments this week, team members shared newfound career aspirations in retail, a testament to the unique space we've cultivated. Their desire to GROW with me and our beloved company after working here for nearly a decade is so fulfilling. I love that they love what they do, just like me. I joined Greenough Communications just over a year ago with the support of an amazingly talented leadership team of Christine Williamson, Jen Heady, Jessika Parry, and Kenneth Craig – and newly added, but I can’t imagine us without her – Nicole Murphy, and a vision. Together, we will make it a reality. I’m incredibly grateful - and honored - to follow in the footsteps of Phil Greenough. Over the last 25 years, he founded and led Greenough through several incredible inflection points across the #technology, #healthcare, and #energy industries and provided us with a proven playbook to tackle the ones yet to come. From Fortune 500 companies to the many startups, he was there penning new narratives and disrupting markets. LINKED! No matter the size of your company, one thing is true for all.... Your success depends on the support of others. With this in mind I was proud to create "The Link Award," recognizing teamwork within the Mooresville Parks & Recreation Department. With seven divisions and over 70 employees, our group is large and spread out. Each day offers unique challenges for all. However the commonality is that we each depend on each other for the overall success of our individual goals, as well as department goals. This is THE LINK that connects us all. Each recipient has demonstrated this teamwork by supporting another person NOT in their own division. And each recipient is tasked with choosing the next award winner, with the caveat that it has to be someone outside their daily division circle who helps them achieve their goals. Recognizing and rewarding teamwork is a small way to unify your staff and remind them that all our successes are LINKED! We connect each persons photo to the next utilizing carbineers, to signify this link, the connection we all share one to the other. 2x’d our teams in a year… 4 years ago, it was just Joe and I. Yes, we get insane results for clients. But the thing I’ll be the most proud of is the culture we’ve built. It has to come from the top-down. We take 100% responsibility for everything that impacts us and our team. This includes our: - Challenges - Successes - Failures - Everything in between We turn problems into solutions. We do not EVER blame external factors. We invest in 1. Education 2. Development 3. Peer support Why do we do this? Why work so hard to set the right culture? Because if we don’t ask for only the absolute best from ourselves… Why would any client trust us? Why would they pay us? Why would they keep choosing us? Our brand’s growth goes hand in hand with delivering success for our clients. So we take full ownership of our actions by delivering industry-leading work. That’s just how it works here. The best part is that every team member has this same mindset. We want to remain at the absolute forefront of best practices. Nothing lesser is acceptable. Seeing 65+ people now makes it all still feel a little surreal! Incredibly grateful. And pumped for what we have in store for 2024 😇

📚 From intern to COO. 🚠 From 2 to 11 team members. 🚀 From an idea to a successful business. Turning a dream into reality requires perseverance. So much is not shown in the statements above: the constant learning, the camaraderie, the wins and losses, the tough decisions, the grit required to show up day and again amidst the excitement of uncertainty. To me, walking this path of entrepreneurship and leadership has not only shaped my growth as a professional but also as a human being. This journey continues to teach me how to evolve - in purpose and self-awareness, in always showing up, even when it is hard, and in holding tight to my values. In my new role as COO, I am eager to contribute to Behavioral Science Research Institute’s continued success by driving innovation and excellence while creating a supportive organizational infrastructure to meet our shared goals. I believe that by leading with our strengths and fostering a culture of integrity and collaboration, we can achieve everything we have set out to do and more. To my team - I both admire and am inspired by you. This promotion speaks volumes of BSRI’s organizational growth, which is a result of deep effort on behalf of many. There is still much to learn.
