Wireless Power Transfer. As far as I can tell, a great effort has been made by innovative scientists in this research area. A couple of years ago, a research team at MIT succeeded in wirelessly transferring power 60 watts for 2 meters with an efficiency of 40%, they published it in Science. Now, the transfer range and the efficiency levels are increasing at a startling pace, and hopefully soon (WPT) will be adapted to most of our home applications such as charging laptops & and smartphones.
