No one wants to get laid off, but if it’s going to happen, there are worse places to find out than poolside at a Dominican resort for a bachelor party. Reasons: * Frozen daiquiris are readily available * Realtime support from close friends, wife only a FaceTime away * No longer need to respond to vacation emails or Slack messages After over 2.5 years at CircleCI, where I had the privilege to launch multiple products from the ground up and work alongside incredibly talented individuals, my journey has come to an unexpected end due to layoffs. Now that I’m back in the US, a little more tan than when I left, I’m looking forward to using the extra time during this transition for personal growth. From developing a consistent gym routine, finishing the Expanse book series, to exploring creative outlets like photography and drawing, I'm excited about the future. Professionally, I'm seeking remote (Senior) Product Manager roles where I can leverage my experience in bringing 0 to 1 products to life, driving product strategy, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. Here’s how you can help: * Referrals: If your organization is looking for a dedicated and experienced PM, let’s chat. * Introductions: Connections with professionals in the tech industry who are open to sharing insights or opportunities. * Advice & Resources: Tips on the job market, recommendations for interview prep groups, or any other resources you've found valuable. Also, open to book recommendations and photography tips! Additionally, if you have other types of roles open, I’d be happy to connect you to former colleagues of mine. Thank you for reading and looking forward to hearing from you!
I got laid off a year ago just 2 weeks before my Costa Rica vacation. At first I was disappointed. Then I realized I had been manifesting a completely work free trip and that maybe this was the universe's way of giving me just that. I hope you enjoyed your trip!
Sorry to hear Spence! Glad you're taking that extra time for personal growth. Knowing you I have no doubt that you'll find another amazing opportunity as any company would be lucky to have you. More than happy to make any introductions in my network or be a resource in any way I can!!
Just started the expanse books myself! Loving it so far! Hope you get a chance to enjoy it and wishing you well on your job hunt.
