Separation of concerns - SOC is one of the common design principles. Let's explore it in detail - SOC is a design principle for separating an application into distinct sections where each section is a separate concern. So, a concern is a part of a system divided based on functionality. Broadly, there are 2 types of concerns - => Core concerns - A single and specific system functionality is known as a core concern. => Cross-cutting concerns - it's a concern that is applicable and affects the entire application. For ex. logging, security, caching etc. While architecting an application, it's important to segregate concerns into core and cross-cutting concerns. #softwarearchitecture #designprinciples
