Workplace from Meta is shutting down. Many companies are now left scrambling for alternatives. If you're affected, this situation threatens your communication and community-building efforts, impacting your workplace culture and employee engagement. But while Enterprise Social Networks are fantastic at community building, there are more elements that you can add to take your Comms efforts up a notch. Employees need more than just a sense of belonging. They need direction. They need strategic communications that align their efforts with the bigger picture. So, when you're searching for an alternative, why not rethink your goals and how you can reach them? Maybe you want to: → Drive community → Reach your frontline → Deliver critical updates All in a way that inspires your employees across channels in a focused, impactful way Then we'd recommend taking a look at (ahem...and we know we're a bit biased) Staffbase. The Staffbase Communications Cloud integrates seamlessly with Microsoft applications, offering a communications-focused intranet with more control. Even Gartner thinks we're awesome as a leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Intranet Packaged Solutions. We believe that inspired teams achieve more and that inspiration comes through communication. And that's more than just a community platform. So, effective immediately, we are offering affected customers strategic advisory and commercial support on the best-fit approach for their company. (Because one size doesn't fit all.) 🚀 Choosing the right tools for employees: a user-centred approach This week’s movement in the employee engagement platform space (Meta’s retiring Workplace and encouraging customers to migrate to Workvivo - by Zoom) prompted us to reflect on STCK’s recent experience helping clients make important decisions about workforce tech. We recently partnered with a client facing a critical choice: selecting the right employee engagement platform for their predominantly young, deskless workforce. Our approach? Human-centered software selection. Here’s how it unfolded: 🔦 1. Breaking through the crowd: In a growing and constantly innovating marketplace, various platforms seemed to offer exactly what the client wanted: a name-brand comms platform. But we knew that beyond glossy websites and exhaustive feature lists, we had to be clear on which platforms could achieve what the client wanted - greater employee connection to each other and information in a deskless frontline workforce across 100s of locations. 🧐 2. Early testing, real insights: We rolled up our sleeves early and conducted interviews and user testing across different platforms. The goal? To uncover what our client's employees truly value. And guess what? It wasn't just about features; it was about experience. These predominantly Gen-Z employees leant towards the familiar - tools like the apps they already used on their mobile devices. The ability to see, share, and create engaging content seamlessly was a game-changer that put a couple of platforms above all the others in their minds. 🌟 3. User adoption as the North Star: Prioritising user adoption is the ultimate goal when developing requirements and assessing against them. For our client, a successful tool wasn’t simply about getting internal comms out or having one-way news; it was about empowering employees with information and community to thrive in their jobs. ⚖ 4. Balancing act to make the right call: We balanced user needs with technology, security, compliance, and commercial needs to reach a well-considered recommendation for our client. After all, the right solution for employees also needs to make sense from a business perspective to be sustainable. 🔍 Facing a workforce tech decision? Let's chat! Whether it's engagement platforms, collaboration tools, or productivity boosters, we've got your back. 🤝 https://lnkd.in/g6hm-t8q #STCK #HumanCenteredTech #WorkplaceTransition #EmployeeEngagement #TechChoices #SoftwareSelection #StrategicConsulting

It's interesting to note Meta's withdrawal of Workplace from the market and naming [Workvivo - by Zoom] as the preferred alternative for its customers—this has been a space we've been leaning into recently with some of our clients. Re-sharing a good post from the team on this. It's great to see how their hard work and insights using human-centred approaches to help a client choose tech, in this case an employee engagement tool get market-leading results.

Ragan Staff reports on employee engagement and satisfaction in a hybrid workforce and how those 2 values can be hard to achieve. Luckily, there are a lot of strategies out there that companies can use to ensure their hybrid or remote employees are happy, productive, and efficient. An engagement calculator is an interesting tool that might be the right solution for your company. Using data to gauge how people are interacting is a great way to see what might be lacking for the team. This takes an incredible amount of honesty and transparency between employees and leadership teams, but it's necessary for fostering a healthy work environment. #EmployeeEngagement #Tools #RemoteWork
