A candidate waited 1 month for CV feedback- only for them to be rejected for not having experience. Candidates appreciate prompt feedback so that they can decide whether to pursue the role or not. And if a candidate waits 1 month for feedback (or gets none at all), it speaks volumes about the company's: 1) Value in candidate and employee experience 2) Prioritising years of experience instead of the quality of their experience 3) Lack of an efficient hiring process. 4) company's culture If you're hiring right now, always aim to provide prompt feedback. It shows you're on top of hiring rather than falling behind the wagon. #hiring #feedback #candidateexperience

Feedback, Feedback, Feedback...... Yeh yeh, broken record, I know. 🙄 1 - But without giving a recruiter CV feedback; We'll be shooting in the dark whilst we carry on searching for your vacancy. 2 - Without giving all candidates feedback who interviewed; Those people won't understand why they weren't successful. 3 - Without giving any feedback whatsoever; You're slowing your hiring process down. Giving feedback is important at all stages of the hiring process. I hope this helps if you're currently hiring or applying.

If you're slow to provide feedback, the best talent is going to look elsewhere. You might have great benefits, flexibility, decent salary, the works. But if your interview and feedback process isn't up to scratch then you're allowing candidates to lose interest and accept other offers. I started working on a requirement a couple of weeks ago, one that's now in its final stages of being placed, but had been open since October(!) The problem was that there was no clear timeline between interviews, and feedback was slow and vague - not detailed enough to take action on. So, now we've worked together to put some guidelines in place, expectations for feedback with some examples of what works, and we've tightened up the time between stages. In the long run, it pays to put more resource behind getting candidates through your interview stages. Free up diaries. Set aside time for feedback. Keep your agency in the loop. And you will hire the top talent. #candidateexperience #hiring

Problem: as a job seeker, you rarely get any helpful feedback with a rejection. So you're mostly groping in the dark, feeling unable to inspect, adapt and improve. The reasons: in the early stage of the recruiting process, it would be too time-consuming to give every candidate individual feedback. And in the later stage of the process, it would be possible, but they avoid giving real feedback because of legal reasons (being afraid the candidate will sue them). Idea: sending out feedback surveys to all the companies you applied for recently, enabling them to give anonymous feedback. I had this idea recently, when I received a "candidate feedback survey" from a company that I had applied to. I thought: why not turn this around and ask them for feedback? My guess: this is a nice idea but not very practical. Most hiring managers or HR people won't take the time to do it. My tip: if you have a telephone number, call them to ask for feedback. On the phone, they sometimes give more info. Bonus tip: don't get discouraged. Reflect on your interview performance, reflect if you're applying to the right jobs, but don't assume you're not good enough! #jobsearch #jobsearchadvice #jobseeker

🙏Constructive feedback makes a HUGE difference to your overall candidate experience. ✨ Despite rejecting a candidate, my day was made after receiving this email: ✨ "Thanks for your feedback and most especially thank you for your professionalism in customising your reply such that I felt appreciated and understood. I think many of your “competitors” could take a leaf out of your book!" ✨ 💡 What did I do? 1️⃣ I gave honest feedback based on the skills they were lacking. 2️⃣ I advised them on how to interview better for future opportunities. 3️⃣ I directed them to sites where they could develop their skills to prevent future rejections. #candidateexperience #recruitmenttips #candidatefeedback

"We'll get back to you" - the classic HR line. But have you considered how frustrating it is for candidates? 😕 Every time I scroll through LinkedIn, I come across posts about candidates feeling frustrated because they never receive feedback after an interview. 😔 Let's break the cycle and give them the feedback they deserve especially those who were not selected.💬🙏 I understand that HR professionals have a lot on their plate, but taking a few extra moments to give constructive feedback can make a huge difference in a candidate's professional growth. 📈 If time is the issue, consider creating a feedback message template that can be easily customized for each candidate. Even a brief explanation of why they weren't selected and some areas for improvement can go a long way. ✉️ Think about it: when we apply for scholarships or programs abroad, we always receive rejection emails. They take the time to provide closure to each applicant, so why shouldn't we do the same in our professional interactions? 🤔 Starting this practice will not only help candidates improve but also build trust and respect for you. Let's empower candidates to become their better selves and foster a more transparent and supportive hiring process. 🚀🌱 Repost ♻️ this to make it reach every HR and let's make the hiring process better for everyone! 📣 #hrprofessionals #jobseekers #candidates #jobs #interview #feedback #corporate #office #hrcommunity

In the current job market, where uncertainties abound and numerous talented individuals are seeking new opportunities, organizations must foster an environment of growth and learning. As someone who understands the challenges job seekers face, I believe there's a simple yet impactful way to enhance the hiring process – providing constructive feedback to candidates post-interview. Imagine a scenario where, instead of the standard rejection letter, candidates receive personalized feedback that sheds light on the areas they can improve. This not only helps them understand the reasons behind the decision but also enables them to work on their weaknesses for future opportunities. For those interested, I've crafted a simple feedback template that can be utilized. Let's collectively contribute to fostering a culture of growth and development in the job market. A little feedback can pave the way for tremendous personal and professional progress. During the interview, the interviewer may receive the attached template, which can subsequently be directly forwarded to the candidate. This streamlined process can minimize additional time consumption in providing feedback. #JobSearch #CareerDevelopment #FeedbackCulture #JobMarketInsights #HR #jobs #humanresources

🌟 Not all feedback is created equal 🌟 Sometimes, as a job seeker, you won't receive feedback during the recruitment process, and that's okay. Here's why, and how to embrace the journey: 1️⃣ CV Stage Rejections: You might not make it past the initial CV screening. But remember, your worth extends beyond a piece of paper. Keep honing your skills and crafting a standout resume. 2️⃣ Business Considerations: There are factors within a company that influence hiring decisions. These can be beyond your control, like internal restructuring or budget constraints. 3️⃣ Unspoken Requirements: Recruiters often look for qualities not explicitly mentioned in job listings, like cultural fit or specific soft skills. It's not a reflection of your abilities; it's about the right fit. 4️⃣ Tough Competition: You might compete against candidates who align better with the role. Don't let this discourage you; your uniqueness is your strength! 🌟 The key is understanding that this lack of feedback doesn't diminish your value. It simply means the puzzle pieces didn't align this time. Instead of seeking feedback too early, focus on continuous improvement, networking, and finding your ideal fit. 🚀 Remember, every step on this journey is a chance to learn and grow, but seek feedback from where it make sense. Keep your chin up, stay persistent, and your perfect opportunity will come your way! #careerjourney #stayresilient #keepgrowing #jobalert #careergoals #careeradvice #dreamjob #careerchange #applynow #jobseeking #cv #careertips #careermentor #recruiter #resumetips #interviewtips #newjob #linkedin #jobopportunities #motivation _________ 📝 I post about recruitment, people & culture, career, leadership, and mentorship. FEEDBACK FRIDAY ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If I'm honest, I probably don't ask for feedback enough as a Recruiter (from candidates or clients) and it's something I have tasked myself on being better at. Feedback not only makes people feel appreciated and that they've provided a great service but it can also help us grow and develop. Recruitment isn't easy but truly helping people and getting positive feedback on the service you have provided really does make everything worth it. Here's some feedback I have had from working with some excellent candidates and placing them into temporary or temporary to permanent roles. #recruiter #feedback #friday
