Today’s office- Starbucks in Jubilee Mall, Canary Wharf And I love it! Whilst I enjoy the flexibility from working from home, seeing the same four walls, day after day, does start to grind I’m not saying I hate working from home I just need to work in a different scene from time-to-time And if you happen to be in the Wharf, why not pop by to Starbucks and say hi 👋 #homeworking #remotework #workingfromhome #flexiblework

After reading this article in The Economist (https://lnkd.in/efjf3_Uu), my first thought was this is an excellent opportunity for a new operation or segment. Yes, we've talked for years about foodservice being the "third place" for consumers. And, yes, consumers have worked from cafes, bars, evolved hotel lobbies and restaurants opening during hybrid hours to extend revenue potential. But these spaces aren't really designed to facilitate more productive work beyond having a lot of outlets. It seems now is the time for a completely new style of foodservice to open that is specifically designed as a split space between work and foodservice. You may suggest WeWork was heading in that direction, and maybe they were. But what about a foodservice operation that generates revenue through thoughtfully designed work spaces rented by the hour that also offer food and beverages that are inspiring and easy to eat while working? How can foodservice rethink its purpose to create a completely new, unique, and functional solution for this problem? We do have innovation occurring in our industry but I think we can get bolder, bigger, more "outside the norm" when it comes to how and what we consider foodservice. #foodservice #foodandbeverageindustry #hospitality #innovation #trends2024 #workfromhome #restaurants #menumattersllc

When heading into the office begins to feel like Groundhog Day, that’s your sign to switch things up a bit. You have to do what you have to do for the business, there are no shortcuts. But one of the things you can change is your scenery! Have you considered doing your work from a local cafe? My favourite coffee shop is Lakeside Cafe in Norwest, which I visit often. It has great food, wonderful coffee, and a beautiful view - it’s a space that allows me to reset my busy mind and relax. You’d be surprised at the benefits you can gain from working from a cafe, such as: Creativity: Coffee shops offer a dynamic environment with the hum of activity, diverse clientele, and aromatic beverages, stimulating creativity and fresh perspectives. Networking Opportunities: Engage with a broader range of people, potentially sparking new connections or collaborations that might not occur within the confines of an office setting. Inspiration from Surroundings: Surround yourself with the energy of bustling streets, urban landscapes, or serene natural settings, providing a source of inspiration and motivation. Reduced Distractions: Contrary to popular belief, the ambient noise of a coffee shop can sometimes be less distracting than the chatter and interruptions of an office environment, allowing for improved focus. Enhanced Productivity: The change of scenery and limited amenities can foster a sense of urgency, prompting increased efficiency and task completion. Better Mood: The aroma of coffee and the cosy ambiance of a cafe can elevate mood and alleviate stress, leading to a more enjoyable and productive work experience. This is your invitation to find the best coffee and give your support to other local businesses while also getting some work out of the way - that sounds like a win-win to me! #thealternativeboard #sydneyhillsdistrict #coffee #supportyourlocal

Coffee shops are great places to work for several reasons. Firstly, they offer a change of scenery from the traditional office environment, which can be refreshing and inspiring. Secondly, the background noise and bustling atmosphere of a coffee shop can actually enhance productivity for some individuals, providing a level of stimulation that helps them focus on their tasks. Additionally, coffee shops often provide free Wi-Fi and a comfortable seating arrangement, making them convenient workspaces. Moreover, by working in different coffee shops, libraries, or co-working spaces each day, you can inject a sense of adventure into your work routine. Discovering new places and experiencing different environments can boost creativity and motivation. In conclusion, coffee shops offer a unique and adventurous work experience that can enhance #productivity and provide a refreshing change of pace.

I am curious to hear from those who work remote, 🏡 where do you prefer to work? I wonder, am I the only one opting for the dining room table as my workspace? 🍽️ I've noticed that when I use my designated office space, I tend to feel isolated and get fatigued quickly. In the past month, I've gradually shifted to my dining room table, though I am still undecided on whether the isolation or the view of my kids' unfinished breakfast is the lesser of two evils. 😅 I'm curious to know: where do you prefer working, and what's the reason behind your choice? 👩💻👨💻 For those at the office, I am curious do you have more then one options of where you can work? #RemoteWork #WorkFromHome #OfficeSpacePreferences
