As the Master of Mayhem & Mischief, you'll be the maestro of giggles, the curator of chaos, and the chief instigator of imagination. Key Responsibilities: Storytelling Shenanigans: Spin tales so enthralling that even the shyest of children will join in the storytelling antics. Bookish Buffoonery: Organize book-themed treasure hunts, scavenger hunts, and quirky reading challenges to get kids turning those pages. Copied from a friend that was gracious enough to post this for those that are in need of a new career: I know it’s not as sexy as a company that shows up in Super Bowl ads, but I’d like to humbly suggest that anyone looking right now who’s interested in stability check out local government jobs. Many are in desperate need of tons of roles, and tech-savvy individuals in general even if not in technology roles directly! Additionally, many roles are union-protected and the benefits and stability are head and shoulders above a for-profit company - I once had someone tell me that I “have the most job security of any person [he’s] ever met”. Former FOCers are practically super-powered in the environment of many local governments because of the embedded cultural drive for excellence that is instilled or biased for in hiring at the FOC. It’s not as high-tech, and yes some things can move at a painfully slow pace, but the work-life balance and job satisfaction are unbeatable.
