‘Great People’ What does this mean to me 💭 ❓ ❓ For me ‘Great People’ are defined by their CHARACTER (what are they like as a person), BEHAVIOUR (how they treat people) and ACTIONS (what kind of things do they do). I have worked with several people who fall under the category of ‘Great People’ but I would like to show some appreciation to one person in particular for the below reasons. 👉 I’m sure many of you that know him will agree with me that his CHARACTER is one of integrity and honesty. He is a very friendly & easy-going person, if you need to talk to someone without feeling judged, he is the go-to person! Also, #dadjokes 😂 👉 His BEHAVIOUR is versatile, he knows how to have a laugh and a joke and when to get down to business – He has taken the time out to understand me as a person and how to bring out the best in me. 👉 They say ACTIONS show you what a person is really like and he has for sure delivered on anything he has said or promised he would do – There’s nothing better than someone in his position sticking to what they say! 💥 If anyone hadn’t guessed who I’m referring to…. it’s ERIKS UK & Ireland's very own Wayne H. 👴 👏 #BePartOfSomethingSpecial #TalentAcquisition #LetsMakeIndustryWorkBetter #ERIKS #Growth #Vacancies #Engineering #Jobs #Opportunities #Hiring Rachel Palmer Assoc CIPD Kayleigh Dutton Harsha Ladva Lori Broadhurst Maz Ifzal Lewis Copeland Duka Cavolli

I HAVE HELPED OVER 200 BUSINESS OWNERS AND LEADERS ADJUST THEIR MINDSET, CAN I HELP YOU? MEDICINE HEART LEADERS BUILDING LEADERS 802-770-4061
You like to see yourself as a good person, but today...you have to let someone go. You reflect and write out the pros and cons. You write out and review all of the incidences, you have been fair and you have given them many chances but their efforts and attitudes are hurting the team. They rely on you for a job and to provide for their family, but what they bring to the table is effecting the way you are able to provide for others on the team due to the lack of ownership and accountability they hold themselves to, especially compared to the rest of the team. It is a tough situation, but in order to keep providing the best opportunities, the best working environment and to be fair to the other team members it is time to say goodbye and wish them well. Do you do it with respect or do you take your frustrations out on this person? Do you let them know this isn't easy but in this culture we can't put one person above all of the other people? Do you offer suggestions as how they might want to approach their next employment opportunity? These are ways we can remain the kind person, the caring person, the empathetic person we see ourselves as, and it can be challenging. It has been a long time since I was in a situation to let someone go, and that last time was just as hard as the first time, but it had to be done. What tools do you use when letting someone go to help you navigate the ethics of it and insure you have done your part before parting ways? #linkedin would love to know! #personalaccountability #leadership #leadershipcoaching #continuouslearning #thaneisaacs

Know Your Worth
The journey through adversity and the quest for recognition are full of moments of doubt and external 'negation' of one's value. But your value is intrinsic and does not rely upon external validation or recognition to be true. You don't need a lot of opportunities or other people to recognize your value. You just need to find the right opportunity or person for you. Gary Travis #garytravis #careers #culture #bestadvice #professionaldevelopment

Have you ever considered the extent of your worth? Who do you become in solitude, with only your thoughts to keep you company? From where does your authentic self emerge, free from the narratives of your history and aspirations? If you can find contentment within yourself, devoid of the need for validation, then you have discovered your true value. #mindfulness #presentmoment #consciousbeing #careers #leadership #enterpreneurship #peace #harmony #trust #surrender #happiness #mentalwellbeing

“YOUR VALUE IS INTRINSIC and does not rely upon EXTERNAL VALIDATION or RECOGNITION to be true” “YOUR VALUE DOES NOT DECREASE When someone else does not see YOUR WORTH” “YOUR VALUE Shines Unaffected!!!” - “It's essential to remember that YOUR VALUE as an individual is not diminished by someone else's inability to recognize it. YOUR WORTH is intrinsic and doesn't fluctuate based on the perceptions or limitations of others. Even if others fail to acknowledge your #strengths , #skills , or contributions, it doesn't diminish the significance of who you are.” - “YOUR VALUE is not determined by external validation alone. YOUR VALUE resides within you, encompassing your unique #qualities , #talents , and #experiences . Embrace YOUR WORTH with confidence and self-assurance, knowing that it remains steadfast, irrespective of whether others can fully see it.” https://lnkd.in/enbxyNyh Source- original post Read all my posts #MariusPreston

WorkForce Education and Development specialist 📚 | HR Management leader 📝 | Sr. Maintenance Chief - Manager 🛫 | Facilitator | Employer Advisor
I recently took some time away from my current activities so my wife and I could do some traveling. Of course we (the wife, me and I am sure many others) think about many things when traveling from missed work or other areas we are apart of in life. What I came up with is this and I felt like it was many parts/periods of my time away: Expect and look for hidden agendas; they’re everywhere. Rarely will people begin by telling you either the true problem or the real reason they want it solved. As you’ve learned, most people can’t distinguish between problems and solutions (e.g., “I’ve got a training problem.”). So keep asking questions, keep on observing, until you’re confident that you’ve learned how things are and why they are as they are. Look out for yourself and Look out for others doing things; people do things for the strangest reasons. One thing I learned is that connections are very important in life and in the work-life network, its new to me since moving on from the service. So I want to say, “Thanks to some of my new networking connections”, I made even while I was away from the social platforms. It is very positive to see that the hard work is getting noticed and that I can work with, help others, and develop from positive connections. I may still have a small network on this platform but I am so grateful and excited to have the group I have at this point. Some of my new professional people, as I always try, I like diverse people in various fields. It’s a professional growth thing. Curiosity is where genuine care begins. The Six Working Geniuses gives us language on how to activate that curiosity, which mobilizes us to see others within a broader and healthier context. During a Working Genius workshop, we spend significant time helping each participant master their ability to recognize and engage with others based on how everyone likes to operate. Short circuiting problems and micro-conflicts, while maximizing their working relationship. You probably won't want to drop $25 per person to have your entire family and social network take the assessment before tomorrow, so our recommendation is to go into your dinners and socializing with a listening ear and active inquiry that is focused on those around you. Seeking to understand how they like to engage with the world and where they find their fulfillment. Accept the challenge! Be curious tomorrow and watch the magic happen! #energyinvestment #consulting #smallbusinessconsulting #organizationalleadership #organizationalhealth #workinggenius #jobdescription #roles #indiana #indianapolis #smallbusiness #hirebetter #hiringstrategy #hiringconsulting #hiring #professionaldevelopment #professionalgrowth
