Marlboro Marketing Strategy: According to the Brandirectory 2017 Ranking, Marlboro, an American cigarette brand, is now the No. 1 cigarette brand. The name "Marlboro" was registered in the United States. Initially, were billed as "America's luxury cigarette", and were mostly offered at hotels and resorts. Shortly before World War II, the brand's sales were stagnant at less than 1% of total tobacco sales in the United States, and it was momentarily removed off the market. Following the publication of a major study linking smoking to lung cancer in the 1950s, Philip Morris repositioned Marlboro as a men's cigarette in order to fit a market niche of men who were concerned about lung cancer while also concerned about their masculinity if they smoked a filtered cigarette typically marketed to women. The Leo Burnett advertising firm solved the challenge by creating a visual identity for the brand rather than relying on words. Masculinity was now highlighted in Marlboro advertisements. The Marlboro Man was a sea captain, a gunsmith, a sportsman, and a cowboy. This marketing strategy assisted "Marlboro" in rising from less than 1% in the parent nation to the top worldwide cigarette brand. #marketing #strategy #branding #advertising

FLUM dominates the e-cigarette market in California, with a 42.8% market share in the second quarter of 2023. Recently, a report released by the renowned European research firm WSPM Group revealed the market share of e-cigarette brands in California in the second quarter of 2023. The top five brands in terms of market share are FLUM, ELFBAR, LOST MARY, FUNKY REPUBLIC, and EBDESIGN. However, it has discovered that apart from FLUM, which is owned by Dawson Company and holds a significant portion of the market, the other four brands are all subsidiaries of Heaven Gifts Company.  According to the survey, WSPM found out the brand market share in the disposable e-cigarette market in California for the second quarter of this year. Among them, FLUM had the highest market share, reaching 42.8%. The combined market share of four brands, including ELFBAR and LOST MARY, amounted to 23.5%, which is just over half of FLUM's market share.

In 2005, Tyres & Accessories published the first in what would become a 12-year series of online brand prominence and sentiment analyses relating to the best-known tyre brands. That research was conducted in association with Envisional and latterly NetNames. Now, one of the brains behind the original data has developed “a new and improved methodology for quantifying brand prominence and sentiment”.
