On Day 3 of SAE International WCX on April 18th at 10:30am, Darren Jones, Pavankumar Gangadhar, and Randall McGrail will team up with Erik Antonsson from Streetscope, Inc. to share “Process Improvements for Determining Fault Tolerant Time Intervals”. #SHM, #FEV, #roadsafety, #saeinternational #wcx2024
In just three weeks, one of the mobility industry’s foremost technical events, WCX 2024, gets underway in the Motor City. As in years past, we’re pleased to take part with a long list of technical offerings, including: On Day 1 (April 16) at 10:30am, Hamzeh Alzubi, Ph.D., will present “C-V2X LiDAR-Based Non-Line of Sight Object Detection and Localization for Valet Parking Applications”. Then at 2:45pm, Tom Tasky will join a panel to discuss “Getting to SAE Level 3: Persistent Challenges and Strategies Necessary for OEMs”. Finishing out the day at 3:30pm, Erik Koehler will also join a panel to examine “Testing and Measurement Challenges and Innovations in Transitioning from Fossil to Carbon-Neutral Fuels”. On Day 2 (April 17), the education continues with Sumit Paul presenting a “Model-based Approach for Optimization of Propulsion System of a Heavy-Duty Class 8 Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle” at 2:00pm. And at 3:30pm, Kiran Govindswamy will engage with a panel to discuss “Navigating Vehicle Electrification Propulsion Technical Challenges and Charting the Future Roadmap”. On Day 3 (April 18) at 10:30am, Darren Jones, Pavankumar Gangadhar, and Randall McGrail will team up with members from Streetscope, Inc. to share “Process Improvements for Determining Fault Tolerant Time Intervals”. FEV’s final presentation at 1:30pm will be given by Dhanraj . FNU, on the topic of “Evaluation of Engine and Aftertreatment Concepts for Proposed Tier 5 Off-road Emission Standards”. A shout out to our partners FEV North America, Inc. for allowing Streetscope, Inc. to join their booth at CES this year. It’s clear the the industry is concerned about safety and looking for new methods to evaluate AV and ADAS enhanced vehicles to ensure they operate safely when deployed. Mark Goodstein and myself enjoyed meeting with representatives from the insurance, fleet, infrastructure and vehicle developer worlds. Objectively measuring safety is a significant need we heard across all of these industry’s. Even a few regulatory folks visited.
