I haven't been doing a great job with work/fun balance this year. But amazing weather on Saturday pulled us to the Marin Headlands, a park I don't go to nearly often enough given how fantastic it is (and how close to home). We were high enough that the pelicans hugging the cliff as they flew north were *below* us, which always makes me feel fancy, walking at a higher altitude than birds are flying. I don't have a profound or snappy way to end this post and connect it to work. I'm just really happy I got a chance to go outside and look at beautiful views and nice animals instead of a screen. And to smell salty air and hear buoys and crashing waves instead of cars and machines. #WorkLifeBalance
I heard that roseate spoonbills are pretty good for inducing balance…
Suzanne Wertheim, Ph.D. I'm so happy you're taking care of yourself in this way! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Rodeo Beach, the site of *many* glorious race finishes. That view from above is very familiar to me. Next time you're in the area, I suggest Tennessee Valley to Pirate's Cove.
I feel refreshed by proxy!!!

1mo(For people not familiar with the area, in the bottom photo, that is one tiny piece of the Golden Gate Bridge poking over the hills on the left.)
