I don't know why no one has tried to run Samba Server from Docker Container. This is basically for people like me who try to keep almost everything isolated for security. Now, you can learn how to run Samba Server from Docker Container from this link: https://lnkd.in/g8gnRcdn

I've enjoyed this week with docker, gotten a lot of great footing, and even written a lot on the concept (some of which are in my notes); but you get the idea, this week has been enlightening. Today, Day 47 on the #90daysofdevops challenge, I learned about Docker networking and security, got around to understanding how dockerfiles work and how to write them myself, Super Exited (and a little tired) about the future.

Docker image security is paramount in modern containerized application development. These lightweight, portable images are the building blocks of container environments, but they can also be potential security vulnerabilities if not managed carefully. To ensure the integrity of Docker images, developers must employ best practices such as regularly updating base images, minimizing image size to reduce attack surfaces, and scanning images for vulnerabilities using tools like Clair or Trivy. Furthermore, the principle of least privilege should be applied to container runtimes and orchestrators, ensuring that only necessary permissions are granted. Vigilant monitoring, timely patching, and a robust access control strategy are essential elements of Docker image security, safeguarding the entire container ecosystem against potential threats. #dockersecurity #containersecurity #imageintegrity #containerbestpractices #cybersecurity https://lnkd.in/d_pbgYWV

Kubernetes RBAC, short for Role Based Access Control, allows you to manage who can do what in Kubernetes. RBAC is like setting rules to control what each user can and can’t do. In this blog, Arton Demaku explains how this helps keep your Kubernetes system safe and organized by making sure everyone can only do what they need to. https://bit.ly/3Hgt2GO #kubernetes #security #devops
