In just under 90 seconds, Reed Hastings shares a powerful cameo that might just shift your perspective on leadership. His candid take on why a 'professional sports team' analogy works better than 'family' in the workplace underscores the importance of agility, excellence, and, most crucially, authenticity in team dynamics. It's a brief but potent reminder of what modern leadership looks like. #leadership #ReedHastings #teamdynamics #AuthenticManagement https://lnkd.in/gfc-2UjD

Great weekend with the South Carolina Stingrays home for 3 and the home opener for the Charleston Battery. Let's get it off on the right foot, with a couple of eye roll generating winners! Dr. Cory Shaffer, AMPLOS Director of Performance Consulting, was recognized by Ken Rosenthal for his work with Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Spencer Strider during Saturday's national broadcast on Fox. Dr. Shaffer's relationship with Spencer began at Clemson University and has grown alongside Spencer's journey to becoming one of the best pitchers in baseball. Mindset is a separator at every level. We are grateful to play a small role in Spencer's success.

Championship teams have championship teammates. I am an old coach and love hearing sentences like this. Tony Vitello is the head coach of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville baseball team. They won the college world series last night in dramatic fashion. Their team has been #1 a good portion of the year and he is an extraordinary coach. Take a peek at your team. Whether you are winning or losing much of the reason is because of your teammates. When we hire here at The Mullings Group, we look for individuals that thrive at being on a team. People that love to practice and play - together. You can see it when people celebrate for someone else or support them when things do not go their way. It perpetuates our high retention rate and encourages others to want to join. What questions can you ask during an interview to determine if someone is a championship teammate? Ask for specific examples of times they were on teams personally or professionally. What was memorable about that experience? What role did each person play? See how much they speak about themselves vs the team. What did the team do well? Where were there areas for improvement? What were the teams' successes? How? What were the teams' disappointments/obstacles? Why? How did the team make decisions? What did you feel when you joined that team? What did you feel when you left that team? Wondering what impact this person had on the team during their time. All of this coming from a #Gator fan. Congratulations #RockyTop. #teamfirstsecondandlast #medtech #baseball Here is the clip:

The parallels between sports and business are undeniable. Last night, the Celtics closed out a sweep of the Pacers to win the Eastern Championship. Each game was closely contested (game 2 not as much), yet the Celtics prevailed in all of them, showing that being just a little bit better than the competition, can make all the difference. In business, similar to sports, differentiation may not require being light years ahead of the competition; but rather excelling in the small things, learning from past experiences, and staying resilient even in challenging times. Leadership and teamwork were key components of the Celtics' success, with stars and role players alike contributing and encouraging each other throughout. Reflecting on this series, what business and life lessons have you gained from recent sporting events? The connections between sports and business offer valuable insights that can be applied beyond the court. It's Ture...I am biased. I'm rooting for the Celts...and I'm thinking they'll be playing teh Mavs...we'll know more later tonight! who do you think will take home the title? #bostonceltics #nbafinals #businesslessons
