Buzzing is the right word, trying to give a name to the feeling I had after our Open Session call this week. For many years friends and colleagues would say “Amber you are a connector” and they would say “you could monetize this,” and I’d say “that’s not my end game”.. I’m not trying to make money off of bringing good people together. I always knew it was something bigger, something more meaningful. Each connection made has always mattered to me, it’s always felt like the right thing to do. This here though, what we are doing with A-Frame Venture Studio, this is the bigger picture. Our team consists of some of my favorite people, creators, entrepreneurs, researchers, developers… a true multi-disciplinary super squad. Then we got the idea to host an AFVS Open session, because the community of value aligned individuals we were connecting with regularly grew. We would get off a call and think “we should connect them with ______.” The increased purposeful connections created the need for the Open Session format- an experiment- it will be an iterative process but at the core it’s driven by these questions; What is possible when we find eachother? What is possible when we have the space to bring our whole-selves into a conversation? What is possible when we connect the dots with intention and without expectation? What happens when we connect based on values first and foremost? Thank you to all who joined! ‚𝐇𝐞𝐲... 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐬?’ I was asked these words several times during the last week when saying bye to my clients, colleagues, friends,… at Plan.Net Group. There, I was working together with a bunch of creative talents that made me grow from day to day. 🫶🏻 to Monika Jane Spindler, Danilo Bittorf, Beatrice B., Max Borisov, Heiko Owczarzak and Valentin Dubois. And there, Timo Wagner and I realized that we must create something completely new and bundle up our work to found our own 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒄 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒊𝒐 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔. So, back to the question: 'Are you nervous?' Is a new beginning a reason to be nervous about? I can just answer with a clear ‚no‘. Why? Because it feels so right without any uncertainty. Reflecting the last weeks in our pre-founding phase, the shift into this new beginning is mainly based on pure excitement. Especially in the fields of planetary & social impact we could already meet so many inspiring personalities, had so many little wow moments, felt so much positive vibes & attitude & support and could even explore further opportunities in our approaches & doings. I'm humbled that a few brilliant people gave us some initial pre-seed funding to build the first SeeSnap MVP and prototypes across Mobile and Web, APIs - Our smart photo visual collaboration platform. It so obvious to almost every customer I talk to that digitizing antiquated paper processes and modernizing workflows with mobile-first, visual-first solutions should be a top priority for them and most companies. (73% of companies are buying here) The benefits are too significant to ignore Massive time savings from eliminating painstaking paper trails Increased accuracy with structured digital forms Real-time visibility rather than delayed reports Seamless collaboration across locations Faster issue resolution with in-context communication Improved compliance through detailed audit trails And cost reduction from less admin overhead, errors and delays But big visions and difficult builds require more than an idea it's a team sport, so every founder knows that early angel investing is the catalyst to getting venture funding. So huge thank you to those initial believers! At this stage, SeeSnap doesn't look like a $5K design budget (our total spend in 2023). Shout out to our scrappy team who brought the brand to life. I firmly believe revolutionary products can start simply - not over-optimizing branding, fundraising and hype too early. But maniacally focused on the problem, customers and product. Of course we'll keep improving our messaging and positioning. But nailing product-market fit matters most now. Thankful for our early users who share our vision - transforming disconnected field-office communication, workflows and payments! This is just the beginning!
