But how does “text to music” work? 🎵You can insert anything — an abstract word, the name of a genre or mood, or a description of what is happening in your song. Mubert will generate a track with a runtime of up to 25 minutes. It can help you improve your mood, relax, and sleep. It is up to you to make the decision. ☝️Previously, only advanced Google Colab users could access the feature, which needs basic programming knowledge. 🚀 I'm thrilled to share my incredible Audiocraft 🎵 24-hour Hackathon hosted by lablab.ai! During this intermediate-level hackathon, I had the opportunity to dive into the cutting-edge technology of audio processing & generation 🔊! Also build an innovative tool with interactive features with the power of #AudioCraft 🎶 DL, launched by Meta for richer, more versatile soundscapes that generate original songs🎧, and compression right at your fingertips. 🎯 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: SonicMeow is the future of remixing, our revolutionary amalgamation of generative music, including #AudioCraft 🎼 as an AI-driven music generation for musicians, producers who see technology as an extension of their craft, and casual creators, in a wide range of state-of-the-art across all genres and styles. We developed a user-friendly web app for a seamless auditory experience to create unique, high-quality remixes🎵and redefine what's possible in the realm of music production. ⚙️For the Backend, we fine-tuned the #AudioCraft model and we built a RESTful API using Flask, that uses the model to make remix generation with as input your original song as an audio file and your customized preferences like BPM(Beats Per Minute), Number of Iterations, Prompt Duration & Min-Max output Duration. And SonicMeow slices it, dices it, and reassembles it into something entirely new with our intelligent algorithm which keeps track of the song's bars, making sure each remix starts and stops at just the right moments. Then, we used ngrok to host our local web service on the internet. 📱 For the Frontend, we built an intuitive web application using ViteJS, React, and TailwindCSS. Also, an AI assistant chatbot to help users navigate through our WebApp, using OpenAI API and powered by the #GPT-3.5-Turbo model. Finally, we deployed our fully working web app using Vercel.   🙌 I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to this incredible team: Kevin Griffing and Richard Porteous. It’s been a busy week for music tech! 🔥 Business Insider highlighted Highnote on a list of music tech startups to watch amid the AI creator explosion** 💰 Suno raised a $125M round for its text-to-music model, following recent unveilings from Google, ElevenLabs, and Adobe. Make no mistake: there are glaring questions about the technology, its development, and its impact on creative professionals, just as there are in the broader AI landscape. As builders, we must critically examine these issues while maintaining a spirit of artist-centered optimism. So what's it all mean? Here's my take, and and how I lead Highnote: 1️⃣ If executed responsibly, AI will dramatically expand the already deceptively colossal market of people who create audio. 2️⃣ If executed responsibly, AI will not replace, but rather greatly enhance artists' creative power and play a helpful role in the creative iteration process. 3️⃣ As a result, there will be ~ a ton ~ more people making more music for more personal and professional applications than ever before. This will occur across a rapidly and intentionally widening array of creation environments which will naturally drive demand for collaboration layers that help creators and their collaborators—who will increasingly span hobby, prosumer, and professional levels—manage, store, version, discuss, and iterate on audio content. ** https://lnkd.in/eueEjhAk

BlueWillow, founded earlier this year, has become the second-largest AI image generating community on Discord with 2.5 million members and over 500 million images created. LimeWire plans to integrate BlueWillow's functionality into its website and use it to develop more media services. While financial terms were not disclosed, the acquisition will not include BlueWillow's talent as they plan to leave en masse to work on a new AI venture. We've just hit 100,000 users on Voice-Swap – fully bootstrapped with no funding, and with zero spend on marketing. There is another path for AI and music that doesn't involve exploiting artists, IP and catalogue. It doesn't have to be a Wild West free-for-all, and anyone who says that's the inevitable future is protecting their own interests. 2024 will begin to rebalance the scales, as AI music rights mature on the back of the hard work behind the scenes we are participating in. No one doubts the power and revelatory impact of AI on music creation, but that isn't an excuse to discard existing rights structures. There can be a middle ground and we think we're on the right side of history. 100,000 users agree. It's a credit to the forward-thinking artists who agreed to come on this journey with us, and the wider Voice-Swap team. In my early 20s, I decided I’d had it with all the math and science and ditched grad school to be a musician. While playing a wedding in Marin, a sudden but very clear realization washed over me: "This is not the dream." I returned to grad school, finished up, started working, and from there built a career as a software/data/AI guy. Still, in a parallel universe, I’m headlining at stadiums and massive clubs. I'm not going to lie: it's pretty awesome. Back in this version of the multiverse, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how to bring my current passion for company-building to music. I wanted to serve the unique needs of musicians and creators, in a way that elevates and enriches their craft. I’ve had ideas for three internet music companies. I even raised the money but ultimately sent it all back because I just couldn’t crack the code. About a year and half ago, I was sitting in the studio, poking through endless Dropbox folders and Google drives with my musician friends. I returned to my day job the following morning and saw all my software engineers logging on to GitHub and collaborating seamlessly there. I saw designers and front-end engineers logging onto FIGMA. Why weren't these collaborative patterns working their way into music? Boombox was born. We assembled a kickass team of musician engineers and found a superb investor in Forerunner.  In just the last three months, we created boombot, a friendly gen AI-powered collaborator that generates new ideas and fleshes out partial ones to make music creation cooler, easier, faster. Boombot helps users spitball lyrics and song titles, suggests chord progressions, and turns them into MIDI files creators can pull directly into their digital audio workstation. I’ve launched many companies, but using software engineering to improve the creative and artistic experience of music-making has given my software-self the ability to delight the musician in me. It's nourishing and very personal. I can’t wait for other musicians to get their hands on it, and to continue building with the absolutely amazing team we've assembled at Boombox.
