Existence to excellence #nikhel #improve #bettertoday Make work purpose driven Purpose matters more than ever. People who don’t feel their work contributes to their company’s mission are more likely to quit their jobs than their peers who do. The way to help employees rediscover the purpose in their work is to make every task and project mission driven. Managers can tie each team member’s work back to the bigger picture of why what they do matters to the world. When assigning tasks, managers should consistently outline answers to: Why is this project important? How will it impact others? How does it fit into the company’s broader mission?

Surely it’s not to much to ask from people, and should be the minimum for each and every day, but these simple traites, seem to be becoming rarer to see. Someones talent and skill level, can defiantly set them apart from others, and get huge success at work, but some things that don’t cost anything and require zero talent or skill, can make a huge difference to an individual, their wider team and the project as a whole. I’m on so many different companies sites each week, but just don’t see them been done all the time, and it’s getting so frustrating. #minimumrequirements #personalandworklife #positiveimpact #constructionmanagement
