Big WIN for Temple, big loss for Drexel.
As a proud Temple alum, I know John Fry will do a fantastic job leading the Owls global community of students, educators, donors and leaders. I lived and worked in Lancaster, Pa., when he turned around Franklin & Marshall College prior to moving on to head Drexel University. He's proven himself to be first-class person and a world-class leader in higher education. Temple will be in excellent hands with John at the wheel! Go Owls! 😎
The best choice for Temple and the city. I hope you can rejuvenate the North Broad Street Corridor in the way you (with Penn) did for the Schuylkill and University City
Let’s hope he can restore the University to greatness
Amazingly great news for Temple and the community. Kudos to all that made this happen and can’t wait to see what the future holds…
John Fry was the President of Franklin & Marshall when my son was there, then went to Drexel where my husband graduated as an engineer and daughter attended as a marketing student, and is now going to leave his mark on Temple! He is an outstanding leader and has a deep understanding of networking and partnerships! This is Drexel’s deep loss and Temple’s wonderful gain!
You needed a Drexel Dragon 🐉 to fix Temple.
The right choice! Congrats, John Fry!
Congrats! Welcome. My brother is an ALUMNI , I HAVE SOME MANY FRIENDS RELATIVES AND AQUAINTANCES ....THAT ARE GRADUATES...
Executive Director at Allentown Neighborhood Improvement Zone Development Authority (ANIZDA)
2wDrexel’s loss is Temple’s gain. Fortunately, the City of Philadelphia retained a leader who understands the impact these anchor institutions have on neighborhoods and the city. John Fry is known to view decision making through a lens of urban planning, economic and community development (among many other factors higher education leaders must weigh today). Every city needs leaders like this.
