In our day-to-day as nurses, we tend to get caught up in our tasks and lose sight of our purpose. I'd like you to take a moment and reflect on how you can embrace the demands of nursing with flexibility, adaptability, critical thinking, continuous learning, and never lose sight of your motivation. Check out my newest blog, "How Nurses Can Shake Up Post-Acute Care with Curiosity." Tell me in the comments how you shake things up in your nursing journey. This year's theme for National Nurses Week is “Nurses Make the Difference.” To make a difference means to have a significant effect. Many APRNs generate revenue in their workplaces but are often referred to as being cost-effective, which carries the undertone of a cost center. It is time to reframe services provided by nurses within the context of a business model, shifting nursing from a cost to a revenue center. #NursesWeek #APRNs #NursePractitioners https://ow.ly/VOWb50RzzIQ

Is this possible? In medical fraternity nurses are the profession which is talked about a lot. Every hospital or medical services field nurse requirements and demands are immense and sometime even there is a shortage. Then why? When it comes to remuneration nurses are least considered. I remember the quote which says, "Pricing is the exchange rate you put on all the tangible and intangible aspects of your business. Therefore leaders should reconsider salary aspect of nurses to drive there business. As it is rightly said, “Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.”– Warren Buffet.
I've got a great idea for how to celebrate Nurses Week 3 actually... 1. Pay nurses more 2. Increase staff levels 3. Reimburse for nursing services Cool, later

It is a call to action to invest more in the nursing profession, as despite being the backbone of healthcare, nursing often faces financial constraints and societal undervaluation. At Benchmarque Group, we support nurses' upskilling in a wide range of clinical areas, with our online & face-to-face courses for nurses. With more nurses leaving the field than are coming in, we need more than just how to combat burnout. We need real change; the stress of being short staffed, over worked with the quilt of “helping out the unit” on your day off and not enough self care for the nurses caring for these critically ill patients everyday. This program sounds like a good start, but when will legislators address the real issues? When will companies increase the pay of nurses to be competitive enough that people want to work in healthcare, especially those working at the bedside? When will companies make it mandatory for nurses to see an Employee Assistant Program (EAP) monthly and pay them to go. The stigma behind EAP is heartbreaking, mental health needs addressed frequently before it becomes a problem. Healthy conversations around the stresses of nursing could prevent nurse suicide, burnout and masses leaving the best profession out there. The gift of helping another person on their worst day is our purpose. When nurses feel that purpose, it lights the fire in their soul and nurse come back to work wanting that feeling again and again. They don’t dread going to work, they are excited to see the faces of the patient or families they help that shift. Nurses want to aid in their patients recovery, make them feel cared for or help them when they are suffering. ❤️❤️ #nurselife #mentalhealthmatters #nurseleadership #timeforchange
