Event design for Biz events- including prospectus development - has to evolve SO QUICKLY… because change impacting the way we work isn’t slowing down. There’s no ‘going back’ to the flagship physical event, expo-hall mentality of 2019. We are serving newly diversified audiences in new ways - and we’ve learned too much to revert to 10x10s and swag bags stuffed with branded dongles and clicky pens. (Don’t gemme wrong. There’s also a better way to do branded gifting. That’s just fodder for a different post.) I’m stoked to join this conversation & share how Women In Product is adapting our approach - and our offerings - to meet the needs of our corporate supporters (who are ALSO navigating today’s new landscape.) I’m also looking forward to hearing about how other #eventprofs are innovating in their event sponsorships. Nobody has it ‘nailed forever and ever amen.’ That’s my favorite thing about events in the post-2020 years. Now it’s OBVIOUS that there’s no one best way to design experiences, no ‘forever’ right answer, and there’s so much hunger from the event community to figure out together how to move forward. I’m ready to talk dolla dolla bills, yo. I think about sponsors as a subgroup of attendees - our sponsors, just like our attendees, join our events because they want to equip women #productmanagers to thrive. Sponsorship fuels much of what we do in events - especially those of us in the nonprofit space. Come hang out with us on the 28th! I’ll be gabbing with Rachel Moore and friends. You’ll get tips for adding some updated zip🔥 to YOUR prospectus’ secret sauce. Oh, and if you work for a company in the digital product space and you care about recruiting and supporting your women PMs - your people should talk to my people. (sponsors@womenpm.org) We can help with that.

How to get more sponsors in 2024 We are aiming to help sponsorship seekers secure a total of $8 million this year. And we’re on track. So far this year we’ve helped 129 sponsorship seekers go from: ❌ Overwhelmed ❌ Ghosted by sponsors ❌ Having no clear direction To: ✅ Developing a clear strategy ✅ Connecting with decision makers ✅ Repeatedly closing more sponsors If that’s something you’re interested in, get a strategy session with one of my advisors here: https://lnkd.in/eDxfEHEG PS - The way we can make this happen over and over again is a little counterintuitive. It doesn’t require a ton of chasing. It doesn’t require a ton of rejection – as in, sending proposals and not hearing back. And you don’t have to be “spammy.” Maybe that’s why we get wildly different and better results than most other companies. ANYONE can get on YouTube and talk about how to draw up a sponsorship proposal. But almost NO ONE can show you how to predictably, repeatedly, and reliably close sponsor after sponsor. If that’s something you’re interested in, talk to us! You can schedule at the link above. Talk soon!

Is this you? ❌ Sponsorships are few and far between ❌ You have good months and bad months ❌ High value sponsors seem always out of your grasp Enough already. The reason you’re struggling with the above is probably because you’re doing what everyone else is doing. Blasting out proposals, including gold, silver, bronze tiers, trying to pitch too soon, etc etc. To put it mildly, I would stay away from that kind of thing. That’s what keeps sponsorship seekers on the hamster wheel — always struggling to book the sponsors they need, to get the revenue they want, and to develop a plan that actually works. If you want the results like the one shown below: … then let’s talk about it. Book a strategy call with my team here and let’s get it handled once and for all: https://lnkd.in/e52QVuHn
