Human Med-Techie 🙃 // Developing mobile apps to quantify rapid tests 🔢 // Enabling rapid test manufacturers and researchers to quantify results faster, more precisely and risk-free.
👋🏼 Hey LinkedIn, Covid is almost over - but not the time of lateral flow tests. It’s time to introduce myself - and shape an innovative healthtech future. I’m Ben, your Human Med-Techie! 🙃 One of the major human needs is health. My mission is to create solutions for people to take care of their own health. I’ve been working in health- and medtech over the last 10 years: Today with our team at Liftric, we shape the future of diagnostics by bringing the lab to a smartphone. 📲 Remember the covid rapid tests with the 1 or 2 lines on it indicating you’re sick or not? 🧪 And remember the uncertainty when the second line was faint, leaving you to question whether the result was positive or negative? Got you. The common covid test is a qualitative test result: positive or negative. Yes or no. Serious health issues however need clear results and measurements - not just a binary answer. That’s what we do at Liftric: Quantifying rapid tests faster, more precisely and with just the smartphone. ✅ How? We develop next-level medical apps for lateral flow researchers and rapid test manufacturers - and potentially, in the future, for everyone. Speaking of next-level medical apps - we just launched our new data-driven app-based solution - applicable to any kind of rapid test: Flowify AI. Stay tuned! I’m looking forward to shaping the modern health together - and to be starting the LinkedIn journey from now on 🚀 Cheers Ben

Researchers at the University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M University have developed an ultra-thin, temporary tattoo that can be used to accurately monitor blood pressure for 300 minutes. The e-tattoo developed can provide continuous monitoring as wearers nap, exercise, and experience moments of stress. The sensor for the tattoo is weightless and unobtrusive. You place it there. You don’t even see it, and it doesn’t move. The waterproof e-tattoos can be worn for up to 24 hours. The tattoo takes its measurements by shooting electrical currents into the skin and analyzing the body’s response through changes in blood volume, a technology called bioimpedance. This isn’t the first e-tattoo developed to monitor and relay health information. Earlier examples of biosensor technology include a tattoo that measures lactate levels in sweat to alert athletes when they should ease back their physical exertion, one that records electrical signals in the muscles to help diagnose neuromuscular diseases, and one that detects glucose levels in people living with diabetes.

Movement as a Biomarker!!!😮😮 Did you know that your movement can be used to assess your health and well-being?👨⚕️🏥 It's true! Movement as a biomarker is a new frontier in healthcare that is revolutionizing the way we diagnose and treat diseases!!😫😷🤒 ⚠️Using wearable sensors and smartphone apps, researchers can now track people's movement in real time🤳🤳 ✨✨This data can be used to identify people at risk of developing certain diseases, track the progression of diseases over time, and even monitor the effectiveness of treatments 👨⚕️🩺😷 📌Researchers are using movement biomarkers to study musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders, and fall risk 💪 📌They are also developing new diagnostic tools and personalized treatment plans based on movement data 🩺 📌By tracking movement in real time, we can identify people at risk of developing diseases early on and intervene before they become serious 🚶🚶 Reference to the original article: https://lnkd.in/dpFXhpKP #movement #biomarker #healthcare #technology #futureofhealthcare

“Once this technology is developed, you don’t have a smartphone in your pocket, you have a cardiovascular monitor in your pocket,” said Dr. Amirtaha Taebi as he addressed students of the Mississippi State Meridian Physician Assistant Studies Program on Friday, March 8. At Taebi lab, located in the Agricultural and Biological Engineering building on Mississippi State University’s campus, Dr. Taebi and his team are developing non-invasive, personalized cardiovascular diagnostic technologies. One of his latest endeavors involves capturing data about the heart using only the video from a smartphone. What’s remarkable is that the video is captured externally — almost as if taking a selfie! ❤️🤳 The images from the video are analyzed using proprietary algorithms to extract relevant data about activities of the heart. The images obtained using the phone can be correlated (and thus validated) using other established techniques, such as electrocardiogram. Furthermore, the technique can detect signals that cannot be obtained by other currently developed cardiovascular technologies. The technique may eventually yield diagnostic information not available through other methods. All from the ubiquitous, humble smartphone… Thank you, Dr. Taebi! Your Body Talks, These Sensors Listen: How Biomolecules Whisper Secrets of Your Health We're talking about biochemical sensors, the super-sleuths of the medical world! These miniature marvels can detect specific molecules hiding within our blood, sweat, or tears, offering clues to our health like never before. Imagine a sensor so tiny it fits on your fingertip, yet powerful enough to tell if you've got the sniffles or something more serious. That's the magic of these tools! They come in two flavors: - Enzyme-based: These guys are like hungry Pac-Man, gobbling up specific molecules and changing color or sending out a signal to let you know they're there. - Antibody-based: Think of them as ninjas. They recognize and lock onto their target molecule, like a key in a lock, triggering a "Eureka!" signal. So, what can these detectives tell us? Well, buckle up! - Early disease diagnosis: Think diabetes, cancer, even Alzheimer's! These sensors can spot tiny whispers of trouble before symptoms even appear, giving us a head start on treatment. - Real-time monitoring: No more waiting days for lab results! These sensors can track changes in your health minute-by-minute, helping doctors adjust treatment on the fly. - Personalized medicine: Forget one-size-fits-all! These sensors can tailor treatments to your unique biology, giving you the best chance of feeling your best. It's like having a mini lab in your pocket, opening up a world of possibilities for personalized, proactive healthcare. And the best part? This technology is just getting started! So, next time you think about the wonders of the medical world, remember these tiny biomolecule detectives making a big difference in our health. They're the future, and it's looking bright! #biochemicalsensors #healthtech #diseasedetection

ML algorithm accurately predicts adverse endovascular treatment events within a 1 year follow up period. The idea first came up due to the lack of outcome prediction tools for peripheral artery disease (PAD) treatment. Without knowing the impact, carrying out such operations is risky. Inattention during this event may lead to patient fatalities. So researchers developed an ML algorithm to handle the task efficiently. Potential applications of predictive language models in diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases are countless. My prediction- this tech will inevitably elevate this sector of healthcare. What’s yours?
