Singapore Green Plan 2030: Moving towards energy efficient and sustainable future for businesses! How do businesses play a part in the Singapore Green Plan 2030? The topic goes around decarbonisation, renewable energy, clean energy (solar power), net zero and the list goes on. By lowering carbon emissions, it supports the climate changes, sustainable and liveable environment to our future generation. It also helps businesses to save operation costs in the long-term. 🏆 🥳 🌱 We are thrilled to announce that ENGIE South East Asia has won the Impact Enterprise Excellence Award for Large Enterprises at the Sustainability Impact Awards, organised by The Business Times and UOB. The award recognises ENGIE's leadership in driving the clean energy transition through the development and deployment of clean and efficient energy solutions at scale. At ENGIE, we’re committed to accelerating the clean energy transition and proud of the example we are setting for other utility and energy companies to follow. We are not only decarbonising our operations and offerings, but also partnering with government, industries, and communities to amplify the reach and impact of our sustainability efforts. With our partners, we are working to tackle some of Singapore's biggest sustainability challenges, from cooling the country to decarbonising the transportation sector and greening the nation's energy mix. For example, we are developing not one, but two district cooling systems (DCS) in Punggol Digital District in partnership with JTC and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). We are also establishing a DCS centre of excellence with SIT, where we will together build and nurture Singapore's sustainable cooling talent pipeline for generations to come. In addition to advancing district cooling, we are working to facilitate the adoption of sustainable mobility and increase access to renewable energy. In partnership with ComfortDelGro, ENGIE is building electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure around the country. Together, through our joint venture CDG ENGIE, we are already rolling out over 5,000 EV chargers in Singapore. ENGIE is also rolling out roof-top solar at pace across the nation, not only providing clean, renewable energy to our customers, but also helping our partners such as NTUC FairPrice to integrate solar into holistic decarbonisation strategies.
