This #TipTuesday, we're sharing four tips for effective outreach. 1. Keep it Short! Concise messages get the highest response rate. According to a 2017 LinkedIn survey, messages with less than 100 words tend to get a higher response rate. 2. Make a Connection - Personalize your message. Does their profile feature a quote from your favorite author? Acknowledge it! Establishing rapport with your candidate can help garner a response. 3. What Now? Don't make them chase it down, include clear next steps in your message. The goal is to make connecting on next steps as easy as possible. 4. Leverage your Network - Do you have a shared connection or former employer? According to a 2017 LinkedIn survey, mentioning a former common employer can increase response rates by 27%.
