New Post: What’s Your Favorite New Music Release of the Week? Vote! - https://lnkd.in/ggYEK4Bb - Summer is just around the corner, and some of today’s biggest artists are heating things up with their newest music releases. To kick things off, Zach Bryan dropped the somber “Pink Skies,” where he addresses a deceased loved one as their grown children get ready to wish them farewell. Bryan was named Billboard’s Top New Artist of 2023, landing No. 1s on both the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart and Hot 100 songs survey. Meanwhile, RM dropped his second solo record, Right Place, Wrong Person, on Friday (May 24), bringing with it 11 new tracks for fans to enjoy amid the band’s military obligations. Led by the single “Come Back to Me,” Right Place, Wrong Person also features the alternative-based songs “Nuts,” “Groin,” “Heaven,” “LOST!” and more. Overall, the LP reflects a “raw and honest presentation of RM’s distinctive sensibility, aesthetics, and beliefs,” per a BigHit release, and follows the South Korean artist’s 2022 debut album Indigo, which reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Also in the album realm, Twenty One Pilots returned with Clancy, which follows 2021’s Scaled and Icy –which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 — and concludes the duo’s long-running album saga that started with 2015’s Blurryface and 2018’s Trench. Sexyy Red also surprised fans with her new mixtape, In Sexyy We Trust, which includes a Drake guest spot on “U My Everything,” which name-checks and flips Metro Boomin’s “BBL Drizzy.” We want to know which music release is your favorite. There are other amazing organisations operating in the accessible music sphere. So what sets OmniMusic apart? We are among the few organisations in England that both deliver AMT (Accessible Music Technology) programmes and develop the required cutting-edge music technology. This puts us in a great position to develop exactly the tech that is needed by our users. We can place participants squarely at the centre of all that we do. For example, when we run workshops, if we find out from our participants or practitioners that users would like a certain acoustic instrument to be adapted, we can work with our creative technologists to make that happen. We can hack the technology already being used by our participants, such as their wheelchairs, allowing them to make music in a way that is most accessible to them. It's a time for giving..." as Mr. Richard says himself. It can be easy to get consumed in the parties, food comas, and mountains of wrapping paper over the coming weeks and forget that not everyone has the same experience come December 25th. In the spirit of spreading kindness and making a positive impact, we wanted to share some ideas for meaningful ways you can give back this holiday season: 🔴 Donate to a local charity: As you prepare for Christmas, it can be an excellent time to clear out all the things you don't use that still have plenty of life left in them. Consider contributing to a local charity shop, where your items can find new homes with those who may need them at an affordable price. 🔴 Volunteer your time: Sometimes, the most valuable gift is your time. Look for local volunteer opportunities, perhaps in soup kitchens, handing out food packages to local families, or just spending time with those who haven't got anyone else to spend Christmas day with. 🔴 Support small businesses: When you choose to shop locally and support small businesses, you're supporting small families over high street giants. 🔴 Create care packages: Put together care packages with essential items and festive treats and distribute them to individuals experiencing homelessness or families facing financial challenges. Your thoughtful gesture can bring warmth and joy to those who need it the most. 🔴 Organise a toy drive: Collaborate with friends, colleagues, or community members to organise a toy drive for children in need. Bring smiles to little faces during the holiday season. Hospitals and foster care homes are an excellent place to start. If you ask ahead of time, you can choose meaningful gifts. The spirit of giving extends beyond materialism. Small acts of kindness, compassion, and generosity can have a ripple effect, creating a brighter and more joyful holiday season for everyone. #community #christmasspirit #giveback https://lnkd.in/ezRNdnXs

It strikes me that it shouldn't take four months to complete due diligence for payments relating to a chamber orchestra based in London. If we're supposed to operate a risk-based approach, you'd have to wonder how long a human rights charity would wait for its due diligence to be considered up to par. If possible, all of these organisations should have back up bank accounts to prevent this sort of harm— but that's bloody hard because so many banks won't allow charities to onboard at all. I reckon a return to the basics of 'think like a criminal' would help us a lot in formulating true risk-based approaches. #financialcrime #antimoneylaundering #derisking #aml #fincrime https://lnkd.in/eS6EsShV

Danny Kean story here, nearly 40 years of free music for all, read below and support if you can: On the road for almost 40 years, the same pickup truck with a piano in the back shared freely with everyone. After 20 years as a fee based performance vehicle, for the last 18 years the Traveling Piano has been operating with no fees, tips or commercial affiliation... no hook and with nothing but with pure Musical Fun, Friendship and Respect through Empowerment and Inspiration. Piano Man Danny Kean with his first pup Bo-ner in spirit and now Traveling Piano pup Mo, they have been focused on community outreach and especially for those struggling in life. Over 100,000 people have been on the piano seat and all through one-on-one individual musical interactions. Having originated in Philadelphia, PA the Traveling Piano has established itself now as a Downtown Las Vegas for the last eight years. Travels have happened throughout the entire Northern Hemisphere of America. The journey has been blogged daily since 2006 on the Traveling Piano's website www.travelingpiano.com The Traveling Piano operates in the most simple way possible without financial reserves, obligations, expectations, salaries or self-serving agenda for attention. 100% of all contribution is put into the truck, work and equipment. Online fundraisers happen only when the situation becomes dire for truck and equipment needs. The act of not accepting contribution in person with the Traveling Piano experience keeps the agenda pure. It creates trust and opportunity for healing in vulnerable environments where communities are severely hurting from tragedy. Giving freely without an exchange leads to intimate and personal interactions of trust and is a huge aspect of why the Traveling Piano's work has been successful. Currently the Traveling Piano truck is in a dire situation. Funding is necessary in order to continue operation. Specifically, a new carburetor and brakes are needed and for the sake of present-ability, serious cosmetic work as in a paint job, new front window and a replacement dashboard to get the speedometer and emergency lights working. The heat is destroying the piano and its sound system and a backup keyboard and speaker is necessary. Over the years people have suggested a new vehicle. This will not work considering the Traveling Pianos unique life and deep emotional and personal history. Cleaning it up and restoring its parts is the only way to go. The world needs the Traveling Piano's mission of truth in spirit. It is a safe space with positive energy and love and lets not forget the fun for all who come in contact with it. We all need fun now especially, eh? Will you help keep it alive? Please contribute... again and again. Just once is great too! And please share this contribution link on your social media and in groups. Spotfund: https://lnkd.in/e54Ra5hk Website: https://lnkd.in/ecXeC6Ji Venmo: Dan Kean @travelingpiano
