A teaser…. Taking stock on Britain’s railways. Autumn officially starts on 1st September and summer is behind for many of us. As we stare down to a general election and the commencement of Control Period 7, now is not the time to lay down. This is the time for the industry’s constructive reflection and renewed self-empowerment to make the difference for Britain. There’s an urgent need to regroup on the taxpayer’s funding challenge, improvement of passenger confidence, and to make decisions that will deliver improved outputs for all users, freight and passenger, of the railway. Well, assuming the polls are correct, there is a strong possibility the #businessrail sector in the UK will once again go though a seismic shift.
