We dove into a kind of brainstorming session , and talked about strategies to enhance our upcoming promotions across their campuses. Reconnecting with Guy was not only nostalgic but also energizing, especially with with the strong support for the College group. It's fantastic to see everything starting to roll into action. 🤝 Then, we had a productive meeting with James Hopkins from Hastings United Football Club, delving into their community work and discussing potential joint ventures with them and other Hastings businesses for our upcoming event. 💡 James Hopkins, ever a dynamo of energy and ideas, keeps the momentum going. There's a real buzz as we explore various avenues and strategies. Really neat to see an Online Program address the realities of the different needs and interests of their online population.. Smart stuff...and giving people a choice is always a plus. Honoring both fiscal concerns and providing access to those who want the in-person student life component of a vibrant campus like the University of Florida is brilliant. Well done! #studentlife ##collegeadmissions #collegesanduniversities #college #highereducation #highereducationleadership

LinkedIn Familia, Today, I wanted to take a moment to share my personal journey as a Latino professional in the United States. Our culture is rich, filled with history, traditions, and a strong sense of family. As a Latino professional, I have found that embracing my heritage has been a key ingredient to my success. One of the most powerful aspects of being a Latino professional is the way we bring our passion and energy to the table. Our tenacity and resilience, shaped by our unique experiences and challenges, drive us to excel in everything we do. These qualities have not only helped me overcome obstacles but have also enabled me to stand out as an asset to my teams and organizations. The values instilled in me by my Latino upbringing, such as respect, humility, and the importance of building meaningful relationships, have played a crucial role in my career progression. They have allowed me to connect authentically with colleagues, clients, and partners, fostering trust and camaraderie that goes beyond professional boundaries. Moreover, being part of the Latino community has made me more culturally aware and adaptable. In today's globalized world, cultural intelligence is a significant advantage, enabling me to navigate diverse environments with ease and grace. As Latino professionals, we have a responsibility to uplift one another and support each other's growth. It brings me immense joy to see more and more Latinos breaking barriers, taking on leadership roles, and making a positive impact in various industries. Let's continue to lift each other higher, celebrating our successes, and collectively addressing the challenges we face. In conclusion, being a Latino professional in the US is an incredible journey of embracing identity, leveraging unique strengths, and fostering a sense of community. Together, we can build bridges [literally], promote diversity and inclusion, and create a more inclusive and equitable professional landscape for everyone. #LatinoProfessionals #DiversityandInclusion #StrengthInUnity #ProudToBeLatino #LinkedInCommunity #shpe #shpefamilia I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to #familia and all the mentors, colleagues, friends who have supported me on this journey, as well as my now, new friends Arturo Alonso-Sandoval & Alberto A..

Thanks to each and every one of you for coming out and making the FIRST EVER SHPE OKC General Body Meeting at the Oklahoma State Capitol a success. We introduced the 2023-2024 Executive team, had two phenomenal speakers and ended with a quick tour of the Oklahoma State Capitol. Special thanks to our speaker Joe Cardenas, P.E. and Arturo Alonso-Sandoval for your inspiring words of wisdom and for encouraging us all to continue trekking through this STEM journey. #shpe #shpefamilia #shpeokc
