What better way to celebrate summer and the hard work of our employees than with a rooftop party? Last week our U.S. employees enjoyed views of the New York City skyline, a cornhole competition, and most importantly, each other’s company. Happy Summer! #EmployeeAppreciation#SummerParty
Even if it’s raining - embrace the summer spirit 🎊
Last month we hosted our company Summer party as a way to thank and celebrate our clients and partners.
I love a party, so it was a natural thing to do, but the feedback from our clients and partners was so touching and postive that I thought I’d share why I think a summer party is so important.
🎉 Strengthen Relationships, Celebrate Success: Why a Company Summer Party Matters! 🌞
1️⃣ Building Strong Partnerships: By fostering camaraderie and connection in a relaxed setting, we deepen relationships beyond business, leading to increased collaboration and mutual success.
2️⃣ Client Appreciation: Inviting our clients to join in the festivities shows our gratitude and strengthens loyalty, while providing an opportunity to better understand their needs.
3️⃣ Memorable Experiences: Well-planned activities and entertainment create lasting positive memories, reinforcing our company's association and sparking future opportunities.
4️⃣ Collaboration and Networking: Bringing stakeholders together encourages valuable exchanges, potentially leading to collaborations, referrals, and partnerships.
5️⃣ Boosting Employee Morale: Recognizing our team's hard work and dedication at the summer party creates a positive work environment, enhancing customer satisfaction and business growth.
Let's draw on the spirit of summer, celebrate successes, and build stronger relationships together! ☀️

As a strategy-first communications and visibility firm, my clients and industry colleagues know I have not advised to post a 5min video in today's evolving social media universe. They also know that I advise to break rules when it's worth it. 😉
Please indulge me for a moment.
I recently shared my induction into #TheBOWCollective, and have received amazing support and a few questions.
While it is difficult for this communications exec to articulate (right?!) what it means for Quest Media Group to be part of a sisterhood of the top 1% Black women owned businesses, this recap of our recent induction ceremony and 3rd annual conference does the job for me, and certainly answers the great questions that have been flowing my way.
About BOW Collective:
⁃ Focus: capital, contracts and community
⁃ Priority: support Black women business owners to scale, create more jobs, and continue community impact
⁃ Inducted over 70 new members in February 2024
⁃ Total collective of 200+
⁃ 4 countries
⁃ 30 industries
⁃ 1.2 billion dollars in revenue
The Bottom Line: We are poised to take action and support your large organization with varied, scalable solutions.
Feel free to reach out to me to see how The BOW Collective can help solve your greatest business challenges, while making your vendor and procurement search the easiest and fastest it has ever been.

It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating being a finalist for the St. Louis Business Journal's Best Places to Work Awards. Well, the celebration continues as we are named as a finalist for the Post-Dispatch's annual Top Workplaces Awards. One thing is clear - McClure Engineering is the place to be! What can we say? Our employee's just really like it here. Could it be our extensive healthcare coverage 🏥? Our focus on career development 💼? Our annual float trip 🛶? Our award-winning softball team ⚾? Popcorn Wednesdays 🍿? Bring Your Dog to Work Day 🐶? Or perhaps it's the chance to be named winner of the annual Chili contest 🌶️? Who's to say 🤷? In any case, there must be a reason so many people decide to spend their careers here!

🌟 What a fantastic turnout at our Mix & Mingle event 🪩!
We were thrilled to see familiar faces and meet new ones as we kick off the summer season. This event wasn't just about socializing, it's also about building stronger connections and fostering a sense of community within our organization.
As we move into the summer, our excitement grows. Our team's energy and enthusiasm are contagious, and we are committed to making this summer extraordinary for our community and our team!
Events like these are crucial for several reasons:
🤝 Networking and Relationship Building: They are an opportunity for team members to connect outside the usual work environment, fostering stronger interpersonal relationships that can lead to better collaboration and communication in the workplace.
⬆️ Boosting Morale and Engagement: Social events can significantly enhance team spirit and morale. When employees feel appreciated and part of a cohesive team, their engagement and productivity often see a positive boost.
🤩 Recognition and Appreciation: These events are a perfect platform to recognize and celebrate hard work and dedication. A special shoutout to our team for making this event possible and our summer crew for their enthusiasm.
Organizational culture should include the intentional creation of a workforce pipeline. Interns should have a career path which provides for apprenticeships and leadership opportunities within the organization.👏
You can measure organizational culture in a lot of ways - staff surveys, turnover rates, etc. and those can definitely be useful. But this week I've had another indicator pop up that made me proud of the culture we've collectively created and continue to invest in at Junior Achievement of South Florida.
I've had several past employees/interns reach out interested in re-joining the JA team since we have SIX open positions. They had spent a chapter with us in the past and at some point their career path had led elsewhere for whatever reason made sense at the time, but now their messages to me are things like:
- "I miss being part of such an impactful organization"
- "I want to be part of the JA family again"
I'll take that compliment to our culture today!
