Proud to have completed the Career Transition Strategies Course instructed by Noël McCall and sponsored by Patriots Path, Inc.
The course was incredibly informational and the content provided exceeded my expectations. It was a humbling experience for me to realize that as much as I thought I knew with my experience as a hiring manager and with the advice I would give coaching/mentoring members of my teams to land their next roles and advance careers, just how much more there was to learn.
Noel is an excellent instructor with a wealth of knowledge. She also demonstrates a passion for helping members of the military community (active duty, veterans, and military spouses) like me during our transitions no matter when we served and what capacity we served in.
If you are a veteran, active duty service member, or military spouse located (or willing to travel) in the Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg) area and you are looking for assistance in the following areas:
* Career planning/assessment

* Identifying your non-negotiables
* LinkedIn tips
* Networking
* Informational interviews
* Interview Prep
* Researching companies

Governments often provide little support to those who serve their country. It is important for politicians to remember those who dedicate their lives to difficult, especially those who are adversely affected. Families of those serving provide support to the public servants and deserve consideration as well.
Quality of life, mental health, physical health, and sustainable income should all be examined.
Military veterans have been noticeably mentioned as needing this care, but we have other individuals and their families who should also be supported.
Teachers are often placed into situations where mental stress and exhaustion may likely occur because of large class sizes, behavioral issues, learning deficiencies, and a large amount of bureaucratic documentation.
Library staff often support demanding and needy patrons, have an expanding role as the result of community needs (often not related to their original training), receive insufficient training in technology and other fields, have too large a proportion of their work time in face-to-face interactions with the public, and have work schedules that fail to consider quality of life.
Those individuals in the public finance sector often are in the position of too little public funds available for the desired amount of service needs. Insufficient monetary awards and little oversight may lead to embezzlement or simply giving in those with the most power and not providing the best services to the community as a whole.
Feel free to add to the conversation of how we need to support other public servants.
Kudos to Aruna Miller, Gov. Wes Moore, and the state of Maryland for focusing on our public servants.

In Maryland's Year for Military Families we're addressing the unique challenges military families face — starting with the Families Serve Act, which will create stronger pathways to employment for military families.
The American military needs merit, not DEI.
For the second year in a row, Heritage’s Index of U.S. Military Strength has ranked the overall state of America’s armed forces as “weak.” Here’s the breakdown of the decisions being made that directly impact our military’s ability to perform its missions in today’s world: https://lnkd.in/dCTVzT5d
