UCLA Health Pride Network, a systemwide employee and training resource umbrella group whose goal is to empower the system’s LGBTQ+ employees and trainees, creates a sense of connectivity. The network comprises 450 LGBTQ+ associates and allies, who also plan community outreach events around annual PRIDE celebrations. The network is not only important for staff and faculty, but also for patients who come to the system’s clinics. “It’s about letting our patients know we’ve got their back, we’re there to support them, and they are in a safe place,” says Troy Ratcliff, regional float manager. You guys really over do the gay thing all year long. I get it, June is Pride Month. No problem with that. UCLA has the rainbow flag posted on it's homescreen 365 days a year with all this rhetoric about compassionate care for lgbtq. Thats great, and how about compassionate care for the mentally ill homeless patients? Nothing I ever saw about that. But I guess the homeless community is not as glamorous and gives no money to the institution. Your pandering to the lgbtq community has ulterior motives for money and to be seen as progressive. What you UCLA need to stop doing is promoting gay men under david bailey based on their sexuality such as his appointing of a nurse manager Justin who was to put it lightly, an apathetic abysmal "leader". The survey proved that. Dont forget the appointing of an awful nurse named Phillip to assistant unit director. Stop the nonsense UCLA. I'm sure you would love to call the Los Angeles lgbtq police and have me arrested for posting this, good luck on that one. Talk about always having to save money on the nursing budget and you build a float for the west hollywood parade, especially while covid was still active, allegedly. Hypocritical. Have a great Pride Month!!
