🙏 Thank you Phil Jones for inviting me to be part of your judging team for the The Drum Awards: Digital Industries. Did I have the time? Yes. 🤔 For people who may not have judged awards before, here are a few reasons to serve as a judge: 1. You will meet great people, learn from other judges, and expand your network 2. You will review diverse work and learn what work stands out and why 3. You will contribute to the advancement of our industry and help people learn what good looks like. 🏅 It is good practice to study what work wins awards. It helps set the standard we aspire towards. Plus you are not typically excluded from entering your own work (as long as it is in a different category!). 🎉 So thanks to Phil and the Drum and all the other folks I've judged with over the years (Wirehive / Pax8 and ARCET Global to name but a few) plus some of the amazing fellow judges I've met including the phenomenal Kerensa Jennings and Charlotte Hillenbrand. Awards are important. Recognition and appreciation helps motivate us to strive towards excellence. I look forward to serving with my fellow judges including Chris Mellish and Kate Dale and meeting new colleagues.
