USA Today and Forbes recommend UNICEF USA as one of the top car donation charities. Our car donation program ensures that the majority of your used vehicle's value — generally 80 percent of gross dollars raised — actually goes to charity. This is more than most other charities that accept car donations online. Vehicle donations to UNICEF USA help give children the essentials they need for an equitable chance in life. You'll also receive a tax deduction for your car donation while supporting UNICEF's work and knowing you made a difference. Learn more at the link below.

creating the ecosystem to help nonprofits scale around the world. author: great online fundraising (#1 on Amazon) | ceo chillibeanmedia | board director | fundraiser | tech creator | gvr. | shopnate | kindpeople.
we created gvrapp because every giving platform in the world is: - either WAY to expensive (charge huge processing fees) - a terrible giving experience for donors (demanding a lot of time or downloading an app (who wants to do that!!)) - or an overly complicated platform for charities to use (requiring a ton of setup time and the need to use a ton of functions that most charities don't have resources for). case study: on fees: one of the most popular giving platforms today charges fees of $3.15 for a $50 donation, $5 for a $100 donation, $9.50 for a $200 donation and $23 for a $500 donation. all those dollars paid in fees are not reaching missions. here's the gvrapp comparison: for a $50 donation, gvrapp charges $1.50 in fees for a $100 donation, gvrapp charges $1.50 in fees for a $200 donation, gvrapp charges $1.50 in fees for a $500 donation, gvrapp charges $1.50 in fees for a $10,000 or $100,000 or more, gvrapp charges $1.50 in fees. get the pattern? the dream of giving more to missions is what inspired me to create gvrapp and I am so proud to say that we are putting more donor dollars into charity bank accounts today than any other giving platform in the world. getting raising on gvrapp can literally take 5 minutes. get started: www.gvrapp.au

Warm-Hearted Walrus wants to share: Today is International Day of Charity. Who knew? Do you have a favorite charity to donate to? By supporting a charity you are supporting a mission, a project or a program that is near and dear to the organizations purpose. Did you know that we donate Superhero activity boxes to Children's Hospitals? We do! Your support fulfills our mission to provide a firm foundation for children to establish strong civic values. Support is different for many of us. There are a number of ways that you can support a Charity, here are a few suggestions: 1. A financial donation. 2. A donation from a Wish List. 3. Volunteering. 4. Sharing their work. 5. Sharing their project. 6. Following them on Social Media. 7. Hosting a Fundraiser. 8. Becoming a Sponsor. 9. Ask the organization what their needs are so you can best support a Charity that you believe in. 10. Research your Charity and know where their funding goes to. If you're thinking about supporting a Charity, please be aware where funding goes. Is it to a program, a project or a person? Choose wisely!

Did you know that monthly donations make it easier for charitable organizations (such as ourselves) to plan ahead? That's why, for the month of March, CanadaHelps is encouraging donors to help Canadian charities build reliable funding for future endeavors. For the month of March, if you join the Whistler Institute as a new monthly donor, Canada Helps will donate $20.* By becoming a monthly donor, you join a network of community leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators that are shaping the future of Whistler-based thought leadership. And, by spreading out your donation throughout the year, you get to take advantage of charitable tax benefits while remaining intentional in your charitable giving. Monthly giving is one of the most efficient ways to donate. You don't have to worry about remembering to give every year, while still being able to make a big impact. Please consider creating a new monthly gift of $20 or more through CanadaHelps to support our charity. There's an expiry date to this offer -- so don't wait! Your donation will help us achieve our goals in 2024 and beyond. For details and to donate visit our CanadaHelps Make It Monthly Page: https://lnkd.in/gaFESaeQ Thank you for your support! *For monthly donations of at least $20. If supporting your chosen charity is important to you, but you also want to donate tax efficiently, you could try: 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲 💰 Some employers allow you to make charitable donations directly from your salary, which can encourage employees to make regular donations their charity can rely on. The donation is typically given to the charity before tax is calculated. Basic-rate taxpayer donation → £8 💰 Charity receives → £10 💰 For higher- or additional-rate taxpayers, the benefits are even more valuable. You can claim back the difference between the rate you pay and basic rate on your donation. Depending on your circumstances, making charitable donations directly from your salary could reduce your overall Income Tax bill. If supporting charitable causes is important to you and you’d like to discuss making it part of your financial plan, head to the link below on how to get in touch.

“Return on investment or 'ROI'.” It’s a phrase many Canadians are familiar with in terms of business decisions and investment portfolios. But it’s not necessarily top of mind when people choose a charity to donate to. And that’s understandable. Canadians support charities for a lot of different reasons (usually personal ones), and they hope the organizations they support will meaningfully help people. But it’s hard to know how much change the charities actually effect for every dollar donated. And that’s why MoneySense partners with Charity Intelligence (Ci) to find out more about Canadian charities and their impacts. https://lnkd.in/gkbMznqN

Identifying effective giving opportunities can be a daunting task. Ensuring we give our time, attention and resources where they’ll do the most good is important, but hard for both individuals and organizations. But giving where our resources will go the furthest can help us magnify the impact our giving has. GiveWell has some incredible research worth checking out on this. Their approach inspired some of our early thinking around Partner With Purpose. On top of their approach to identifying fewer but more credible impact opportunities, at PwP we also noticed: 1. Companies care about doing good, but often lack the resources to do it effectively 2. The same overfunded nonprofits get a disproportionate amount of the world’s philanthropic resources 3. A lot of incredible NGOs exist that do great work at the last mile but fall outside corporate radars Connecting mission driven companies to last mile organizations doing the most good for every dollar (or currency of choice) is an important exercise that multiplies the impact for all stakeholders. We’re so excited to be working with our teams on addressing this in our non-profit initiative. More soon.
Philanthropy has helped unlock tremendous progress around the globe—but it can be difficult to identify effective opportunities to give back. I recommend checking out GiveWell's research. The organization offers suggestions for cost-effective, evidence-backed charities that save or improve the most lives per dollar—making sure each donation goes further. https://b-gat.es/3GICEtq

If you are not thinking Blue Ocean Strategy as part of your strategy canvas, you are just thinking like the competitors next to you (red ocean). Creating ‘value innovation’ for your customers puts you in different, more durable, less choppy waters. #strategy #strategyconsulting
In 1985, the charity industry in the UK was hugely overcrowded, suffering rising costs and donor fatigue as it tried to engage a public confused by the thousands of different charities competing for their attention. It was at this time that Comic Relief was born. The UK charity understood that such a competitive and challenging environment called for a fundamentally different approach. Fast forward 30-plus years and Comic Relief has raised more than £1 billion, has no credible imitators, and achieved an amazing 96% brand awareness. Read the article by Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne to learn how a blue ocean approach set Comic Relief apart. https://lnkd.in/gqePTpb2 #BlueOceanStrategy #BlueOceanShift

Scenario: You notice excess inventory is starting to take up a lot of space in your warehouse. You think "we need to get rid of this!" so you donate.. Great! Except..🤨 Most charities don't have the ability to turn that product into something valuable...So you may be creating more work for them than they can take on 😬 What's a charity for kids supposed to do with table saws? Or how are they supposed to move 50,000 mugs?! They don't have the capacity. We want to help you turn that 'we don't need it, lets donate it" into "Let's donate and create REAL impact for that charity" We have the ability to turn ANY product into charitable funds for a foundation of your choice. If you have excess product that you need moved, message us so we can help you get top dollar and do some good with it! #excessproduct #charity #inventorychallenges

Since charities ask for larger and more frequent donations from the public these days, soliciting by mail, telephone, television, and radio, for example, they should be checked out before you donate money or time. Here are some tips on how to maximize your charity dollar and avoid scams. Here are some basic, common-sense suggestions for avoiding rip-offs in making charitable contributions: Do not contribute cash. All contributions should be in the form of a check or money order made out to the charity never to the individual soliciting the donation. Do not be misled by a charity that resembles or mimics the name of a well-known organization--all charities should be checked out. Ignore pressure to donate immediately. Wait until you are sure that the charity is legitimate and deserving of a donation. When appropriate, ask for written descriptions of the charity's programs and/or finances, especially if the intended contribution is substantial. If you have any doubt about the legitimacy of a charity, check it out with the local charity registration office
