As we step into the last half of the year, we’d like to thank all of our supporters. We couldn’t do our work without the generous contributions from our corporate sponsors, our partners at community-based organizations and our neighbors across Los Angeles County who donate monthly. By combining community power, donations, and new solutions to long-standing challenges, we can accomplish more together than alone. #Community #UWGLA #ThankYou

The holidays are the most important time of the year for fundraising when nonprofits raise the majority of their annual operating revenue. At Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, financial donations are down about 20% from where we were at this time last year, and the food bank is receiving donations from fewer donors. As we move into the final days of December, Second Harvest still needs to raise $4M by 12/31 to stay on track with its annual goal. A staggering 1 in 6 people in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties are turning to Second Harvest for support. That equates to Second Harvest providing food to an average of 500,000 people every month. Last month we served 520,000 people. It’s critical we make our goal and we are asking our community to donate what they can to help at https://shfb.online/hm2023 —every $1 can help provide enough food for 4 nutritious meals with our current match. #FeedingSiliconValley

DOUBLE-MATCH your donation, TRIPLE your impact! We've got some fantastic news to share. For a limited time, CCI Giving is offering a **DOUBLE-MATCHING** period for donations to our new charity partners. That's right, every dollar you donate through our platform will be MATCHED not once, but TWICE, making your contribution go THREE TIMES as far! The cost of living and other challenges we're facing right now are undeniable. Families are struggling, essential services are stretched thin, and our communities are navigating uncharted waters. But together, we can be a beacon of hope and create a ripple effect of positivity that will touch countless lives. Imagine the impact: by donating during this double-matching period, your $25 becomes $75, your $50 becomes $150, and your $100 becomes an astounding $300! That's three times the resources to support vulnerable women, help young people reengage with education, or to advocate respectful, accountable relationships and debunk outdated notions of masculinity. Spread the word, rally your friends and family, and let's show some Collective Kindness. Donate now by visiting our website https://lnkd.in/gzUNmPzK or our donation page https://lnkd.in/dcEw9WGw

The holiday season is here—and for some, presents aren’t the only gifts. Charitable nonprofits are wrapping up 2023 with an influx of donations as taxpayers look to spread cheer while also taking advantage of donor tax benefits before the year ends. The holiday season reminds us of the role nonprofits play in improving the quality of life for individuals, communities and governments. Federal and state lawmakers recognize the value of incentives to support charitable giving. Without the tax benefit and the end-of-year donations it brings, maintaining nonprofit services would be challenging. Read more: https://bit.ly/3NBIUao

Ryan Reynolds always delivers. I think his success comes down to some of the most essential marketing and storytelling techniques. • Creative Collaboration: Reynolds often collaborates with talented writers, directors, and creative teams who understand his comedic style. This collaborative effort ensures that the content is not only funny but also well-crafted and appealing to a wide audience. • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Reynolds frequently breaks the fourth wall, addressing the audience directly or acknowledging the nature of commercials. This meta-humor adds an extra layer of entertainment and engagement. • Authenticity: Reynolds comes across as genuine and authentic in his commercials. Audiences appreciate when celebrities seem authentic and not overly scripted, contributing to the overall likability of the content. • Surprise Elements: Reynolds is known for incorporating unexpected or surprising elements in his commercials, keeping viewers engaged and entertained. These unexpected twists often elevate the humor in the ads. • Clever Brand Integration: Reynolds seamlessly integrates brand messages into his comedic narratives. The humor doesn't feel forced, and the product or brand becomes an organic part of the comedic storyline.
Kids aren’t themselves when they’re sick—meaning, they aren’t the huge pains in the ass that they normally are. That’s the amusing starting point of the new SickKids holiday campaign, in which Ryan Reynolds—an ambassador for the Canadian hospital—asks for donations through a series of amusing interactions with the children there. https://ow.ly/N4tr50Qg8T8
