#thursdaythoughts is reflecting on the beautiful day I spent in Wilmington, DE yesterday with the Blackwell HR Solutions team updating their mission and values. This team, their client base, and their impact is growing daily. Their leader Michelle Ray, SHRM-SCP, SPHR took an intentional pause to have the team update the values created when she founded the company five years ago. A lot has changed in the last five years…in the world, in business, and in this team…and it was refreshing to reflect on it and what it means to the work that this team does for their clients every day. I was moved yesterday not just by the work of this team, but also the location of their offsite. The DuPont Country Club was founded in 1920, but its roots can be traced back to the 1880s. It was organized and maintained for the promotion of the physical welfare and social health of the DuPont employees. In the late 1990s, it transitioned away from being an employee only facility and since 2018 has been under new ownership. I love to walk into a building and think “if these walls could talk.” And yesterday I thought if these walls could see and listen to this female owned and operated HR consultancy and advisory wouldn’t they be surprised at how much has changed with how we view the physical welfare and health of our employees. Part of me is inspired that over 100 years ago, corporate America knew this was important enough to build a structure to foster it. And a big part of me smiles when I think of how much has changed in that timeframe. #teamdevelopment #intentionalpause #mission #values #femalefounders #coaching

Job-hopping? Used to be a stigma. These days, it's becoming a lot more acceptable. This may be an acknowledgement that of today's churning employment world and changes in generational values. What do you think? Our industry is typically a conservative laggard. Still, with exposure to more global roles and talent pools, we are likely encountering job-hoppers more frequently. Your thoughts? https://lnkd.in/ek2iPvqs #jobhopping #hiringtrends #employmenttrends #generationaldiversity #recruiter #brakkesearch #brakkeconsulting #animalhealth #pethealth #livestock #veterinarymedicine

Tractor Supply update Massive victory to report. I’ve exposed the woke agenda @TractorSupply’s corporate office for 3 weeks. Now they’ve responded. Here’s their statement: • They will no longer sponsor pride festivals! • They are ELIMINATING ALL DEI roles and they’re retiring their DEI goals. • They will no longer submit data to the human rights campaign for a corporate equality index store. • They will withdraw from carbon emission goals. • They promise to continue to listen to their customers and Team Members. • Refocus our Team Member Engagement Groups on mentoring, networking and supporting the business. This monumental change is thanks to all of you who supported my work exposing this, to the whistleblowers in Tractor Supply and my fellow farm owners who respectfully spoke up. I’m working to get more information about these changes but this is a fantastic moment for the fight to banish wokeness, DEI and ESG from the workplace. This is one of many dominoes to fall to bring back an economy where the customer is king once again and woke politics are eliminated from the workplace.

Today we’re proud to share our refreshed human rights strategy which is a recommitment to respect and support the human rights of our team members, customers, the communities we serve and workers throughout our supply chain. Our refreshed strategy provides a framework to prevent harm and foster a culture that embraces diversity, inclusion and equality. This includes fair and safe working conditions, responsible purchasing practices and protecting the rights of people across our operations and value chain, especially the most vulnerable. This strategy has evolved from an extensive period of research, learning, consultation and design, in partnership with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including NGOs, suppliers, academics, team members, survivors of modern slavery and workers in our supply chain. There are many ways to show employees how much their valued—from recognition programs and financial incentives, like listening and taking action on employee feedback or just simple gestures like a "THANK YOU" from your President and CEO. #fgma #fgmarchitects #webuilcommunity
Did you know that Employee Appreciation Day is celebrated on the first Friday of March every year? Today our president, Tim Kwiatkowski, and our CEO, John Dzarnowski, have a very special message for the FGMA team, and also created a short and sweet video to express their thanks. "We'd like to thank you for being part of our vision," says John. "We know there are many new faces over the past few years and we're very happy that you've decided to help us build a better community." Tim adds, "Thank you all for believing in us. Without you, we couldn't be doing what we're doing, and the success we have today wouldn't have happened. It's a wonderful thing to visit our offices and see the talent, the passion that exists around this firm. We truly appreciate all your efforts." From Tim, John, and all of the leadership at FGMA, thank you to our whole team for all that you do. We couldn't do this without you! 💕 #thankyouteam #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #employeeappreciationday #fgma #webuildcommunity
