Need a job in esports? I am looking for the perfect, long-term virtual-EA, that can support ventures across the Continuum X Group portfolio. The job requires masterful levels of structure, pro-active and rigid approach to sorting the various creative collateral, briefs, inbounds, outbound, contracts and project briefs that happen, while having an always positive and creative attitude towards finding ways to optimize, automate and execute things forward smoothly. I am a believer in 100% accountability and in people who have the ability to self start and look ahead on the horizon on what the needs are, finding ways to always go above and beyond, without being told to do so. You need to be a natural with multitasking, general stakeholder management and have flair for communicating with people from all over the world. I believe the perfect EA is an integral productivity and accountability superpower, and a vital component taking away administrative tasks, documentation and other operational tasks, allowing the rest of the team to focus on what they do best. Ideally, you are familiar with all or a combination of areas within tech, startups, esports, gaming, private equity, venture capital and general finance. You have no problem moving seamlessly between editing a presentation, writing up a report, scheduling meetings, answering and structuring inbounds, doing light book keeping, setting up social media, planning a podcast event, with a constant focus on quality outcome. You can work from anywhere, at any time, as long as the mutually agreed levels of responsiveness for internal and external tasks are always in check. The assignment will start part-time on an hourly basis, and can then turn full time when the perfect candidate is found and we've established that 1+1=3. Is it you? Do you know someone it might be? Share, DM, send a homing pigeon or something else. Let's get to it! 🚀 🎮 🔥 #careers #esports #gaming #entrepreneurship #recruitment

Humanizing Hiring | Sparking Interest from Your Ideal Candidates By Operating at the Intersection of Marketing and Recruiting
What does 'great' even mean when describing a boss? It's vague and means different things to different people, so when promoting a hiring manager for a new role, let's aim higher than 'great.' In my recent article, I take cues from NCAA coaches, who know how to lure top athletes. They don't rely on vague terms; they sell themselves on their proven ability to develop athletes, helping them reach the next level. Let's be clear, specific, and better than just 'great.' Check out the article and elevate your recruitment game! Things I've changed my mind on in the past 5 years: → Promos/discounts aren't always evil → Mailing your list every day is fine → Consolidation can limit your growth on Meta → Welcome offers can be a value-add → Meta video view campaigns aren't dumb → You should probably send less SMS → Most marketing tactics push demand around, they don't drive new demand → Brands should spend more time on org structure, less time on hiring → Few struggling brands are worth saving → Top university grads really are better structured thinkers, on average → Telling folks what they want to hear is ok sometimes → Marketing career success is 80% opportunity selection, 15% charm, 5% skill

Crossover In basketball crossing over your defender makes her have to defend 50% more territory. Crossovers help us in our entrepreneurship practice because there is no defense for when we crossover. By learning to crossover, we will be able to go wherever we want to go. Crossovers are what they don’t teach you at Stanford #gsb ✅ crossing over from technical to business development The biggest mistake that technical cofounders make is to outsource business, outsource money acceptance, outsource, money generation, outsource, new business venture conversations, outsource, business, conventions, and outsource business advocacy Crossing over from technical to Biz Dev is where we become the CEO. There is no defending a crossover where we as CS majors also become “chief revenue officer“ #CSMajorCRO ✅ crossing over from Instagram to LinkedIn There is a urban myth where you use Instagram influencers to do your sales and distribution work for you. Once you try to hire a VP of sales… Your start up is unknowingly in a startup death spiral The fifth epiphany is realizing that you’re going to be your own VP of sales. I wrote about it in a Boston area schools called “Harvard business schoo HARBUS ✅Crossing over the innovation chasm NOT TO HAMMER THE FIFTH EPIPHANY, WHEN YOU HAVEN’T QUITE READ “FOUR STEPS TO THE EPIPHANY“ OR THE BOOK WRITTEN BY JEFFREY MOORE CALLED “CROSSING THE CHASM” BUT YOU WANT TO CROSS THE CHASM OF INNOVATION FROM THE RIGHT ✅ crossing over from business development to technical #TechLead This is a very difficult crossover, but has been accomplished 3 to 5 times ✅ crossing over from Web 2 social media to Web-1 static webpages associated to our worldwide web page presence A question I asked people who are in business How many webpages do you have? You be surprised that 60% of restaurants in Silicon Valley don’t have a website You’d be surprised at how many people that don’t make $100,000 per year and will fall short of making $100,000 total before they turn 30 do not have a web page. I mean zero webpages. Crossover ✅ too much time, pondering gender, crossover, and not enough time in what I see as a crossover

About 5 years ago I decided to end my chapter as an entrepreneur. It wasn't an easy decision to make. The freedom to create can be intoxicating when you're your own boss. Opportunities are limitless, and the flow of ideas seems to never end. It took me quite some time to figure out what exactly I wanted to do next. It's only when I started working at product marketing that I found the answer. That I can trade being an entrepreneur into being an intrapreneur. That I can create, initiate, motivate, and inspire within an organization. That working with product, customers, business, and marketing is not so different than being a start up founder. * Does your mind constantly flood you with ideas? * Do you love creating solutions as much as you enjoy diving into problems? * Are you a strategic thinker who's capable of executing their plans? * Do you love the sports business? If you found yourself constantly screaming YES while reading a Linkedin post, then check out the open position below. I'm looking for a product marketing manager to join our growing product marketing team in WSC Sports' NY office. https://lnkd.in/dRD4WNWR #productmarketing #pmm #hiring

Author / Mentor / Father On a mission not only to improve myself, but everyone around me with my continued Hard and Soft Skill growth!
Gaming is not a waste of one’s time! Reasons why many consider it not. -Develops problem-solving skills. -Teaming up with your friends. -Promotes strategic thinking. These skills are needed in the professional world. On a daily basis we all run into problems in the business landscape. How many careers can you think of that don’t involve us working along side team members? I am waiting for your answer lol. Strategic thinking skills are going to translate well into the professional scheme of things. Hiring a team member that can see unique ways to improve your business performance is valuable on so many levels. Balance must be maintained. Gaming to much like anything else can become a bad thing. #game

In 2010, I joined full time at Redefine and today after fifteen years we are over 100 plus strong team. One of the core responsibilities as a founder is to build team apart from business development. I've been at the forefront of hiring, and there's few trait that consistently stands out: one of this is candidates background in sports, particularly team sports, the other, I will share in my next post. Now, a background in sports isn't just a hunch; it's a strategic decision backed by compelling reasons: 1. Champions at Heart: Sportspersons are wired to win. They bring this competitive spirit to the workplace, constantly striving for excellence and pushing boundaries. 2. Resilience in Defeat: Sports teach valuable lessons in handling setbacks. These candidates don't crumble under pressure; they learn, adapt, and come back stronger. 3. Team Players Par Excellence: The most crucial lesson from sports? Being a stellar team player. These individuals understand the power of collaboration, communication, and collective success. By prioritizing candidates with sports backgrounds, we're not just hiring employees; we're building a team of champions ready to take on any challenge. Their athletic mindset translates into professional prowess, creating a dynamic, resilient, and cohesive workforce. Remember: In the game of business, those who play together, win together! #teamwork #redefiningexcellence #hiring #sports
