There’s no right or wrong but organisations often talk about the needs of T shaped employees. But, the demand of V shaped is becoming the talk of the town because of their in depth knowledge which will help build-up the organisation. The concepts of "V-shaped" and "T- shaped employees” are often used to describe different types of skill sets and professional characteristics: 👩💻V-shaped employees 👩💻 🚀 V-shaped employees possess deep expertise in a specific domain. The "V" represents the depth of knowledge and skills in a particular field. These individuals have specialized training and experience, allowing them to excel in a specific discipline. 🚀 For example: A Software Developer have a deep expertise in a specific programming language. While they don’t have as much experience in other areas of software development. 👩💻 T-shaped employees 👩💻 🚀 T-shaped employees on the other hand, have a broader skill set that combines depth in one area with a broader range of skills and knowledge in other domains. The vertical "T" represents the deep expertise in a specific area and the horizontal “T” represents the broader understanding across multiple disciplines. 🚀 For example: A Marketing professional might have experience in a variety of marketing channels such as social media, email marketing, and content creation. However, they have deep expertise in one area such as search engine optimization (SEO). Both V-shaped and T-shaped employees have their strengths and value in different contexts. V-shaped employees are often sought after for their deep expertise, while T-shaped employees are valued for their adaptability, and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. #employees #corporate #companies #hr #crossfunctional #knowledge

Good perspective on the technological savvy of GenZ. Prowess in social media doesn't necessarily imply technological prowess across the board. Companies that succeed with GenZ cannot assume a base level technology - or for that matter - social etiquette. This is why companies who want to succeed with GenZ should mentors and invest time in upskilling vs. pursuing a "Sink or swim" strategy. https://lnkd.in/dda5zY8z

Attract exceptional startup talent with a few strategic changes to your website. Your mission matters! But when potential hires visit your website, do they get a true sense of what sets your company apart? Here's how to turn your career page into a powerful recruiting tool: Employee Spotlights: Stories are powerful, especially when they involve overcoming challenges or obstacles. Share short profiles of current team members highlighting how their work directly impacts your mission. Encourage them to share a little about who they are beyond their role. Videos can be especially impactful! ‘Day in the Life’: Give potential talent a glimpse into what it's like to be part of your team. Use videos, photos, and captions to showcase your work environment – even a team meeting or whiteboard session can help. Show them the real you, beyond the job descriptions and mission statement. Impact Stories: Share and quantify the results your team achieves (e.g., emissions reduction, partnerships created). The story could be told in a compelling case study, an infographic, or—if you want to get fancy—an animated video. Show, Don't Tell: To convey your culture and values, demonstrate what they look like in action: • Curiosity? Tell us more! For example, you could mention how you approach challenges with humility and an open mind or highlight a project where asking bold questions led to a breakthrough. • Innovation? Share what innovation means to your company or how you inspire a culture where big ideas thrive. Remember: Potential hires want to envision themselves as part of your team. Help them make choosing you a no-brainer. What's your biggest employer branding challenge? Share in the comments, and we'll tackle it in our upcoming guide for climate tech startups! #climatetech #climatetechhiring #startuphiring

Building trust in business is hard. Actioning your survey results doesn't have to be. Imagine this: You're a manager and your team has just completed their feedback survey process (maybe using Perceptyx? 😉). The score of 'My opinion is valued' ranks lower than you prefer. You think: How do I empower my team to have a voice? How do I remember to consistently ask them to speak up in meetings? Normally, you'd create an action plan and brainstorm with your team about how to move the needle. You'd also set a few reminders to check-in on progress and, ultimately, you'd wait for the next survey to showcase your improvement. But the answers.. the actions.. the behavior change.. that's always been on you. But what if it didn't have to be? What if you got help? What if you also... ... in real-time, got science-backed 'nudges' that would remind you at ideal times in your workday (like right before your next team meeting) of questions you can ask to probe for feedback before jumping into your agenda? What if you also... ... knew your team got a slack or email nudge reminding them of simple ways they can speak up - or hold space for others to speak up - before they step into that same team meeting? Yep. We're talking complex behavioral science (all that HR teams dream - or have nightmares - about) delivered in short, actionable, real-time recommendations (like slack nudges to desired audiences at appropriate times) to influence our employee development, training, and well-being... ...so they not only feel heard, but truly feel listened to. And while this is just a simple example, it's solving a complex problem. And today we're creating a solution. I'm thrilled to announce our acquisition of Humu - founded by former Google CHRO Laszlo Bock - which makes taking action on employee survey results easier than ever before! #acquisition #behavioralscience #HRtech #employeelistening

Fractional Chief Digital Officer. Data & Intelligence. (CDO, CMO, CINO) - Investor, Board Member, Speaker
Join Our Batch of Technology-Minded Professionals for an Open Talk on Revenue Generation Processes. During this friendly and open conversation, we’ll explore technology and its impact on revenue strategies. Ask questions or just sit back and listen to the ideas. If the conversation opens up, I plan to touch on three underlying trends that are driving the current wave of innovation and how they can be leveraged to enhance revenue generation. Any of these by themselves are huge opportunity areas, in parallel they are causing entire industries to 'disrupt themselves.' >>> Artificial Intelligence (AI) - AI is not just automating tasks but also providing deeper insights into customer behavior, predicting market trends, and personalizing customer experiences at scale. >>> Robotic Process Automation (RPA) - the efficiency that RPA brings to the table, eliminating repetitive tasks and freeing up teams to focus on creative and strategic activities. >>> NoCode Platforms - empower non-technical users to build applications and automate workflows without writing a single line of code. This democratization of technology accelerates innovation and reduces the time to market, making it a critical tool for businesses looking to scale quickly. Come prepared to share your thoughts or just listen in as we discuss these transformative technologies. Whether you want to grab the microphone or not, your participation is highly valued. DATE: Wednesday (4/17) @ 12 PST This is more than just a discussion; it's an opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and gain insights that could shift your approach to business. #Innovation #AI #RPA #NoCode

Maximizing optionality in a changing world requires each of us to think with a company of one mindset even if we wish to spend decades at our current place of work, says Rishad Tobaccowala in his post below. Some key takeaways- 🔹A combination of 5 forces - aging, new mindsets, remote work, tech powered gig-economy and AI/Web3 - are reconfiguring the workforce 🔹For an individual to thrive in a company they will need to learn how to operate as a company of one 🔹One must be responsible for one’s own career and ensure one is remaining relevant - the day a human being and a professional stops learning is the day they stop growing 🔹Identify opportunities that combine your skills and the market - architect, hone and sculpt your key superpowers 🔹Invest deeply in relationships #companyofone #workforce #career #learning
